Dead On My Feet

The first thing I want to say is that the behind the scenes people for Public Enemies are amazing.
I'm a little worried about posting anything on the blog but I'm also hoping that because I followed all the rules and was the perfect "nobody" that IF they read this they can be assured I will continue to be and upstanding invisible person.

The odd thing is that I have so much to say that it is all jumbled in my pea sized brain and perhaps if I get more then three restless hours of sleep tonight it some semblance for a thought process will once again flow out if my finger tips.

First - a photo.

The one thing that sort of took me by surprise was how many people knew of this blog.

In the above photo Ellen (guess which one she is) is a blog-buddy! Hi Ellen. She was a croucher and had to hide behind some bushes a lot when Steven Dorff would repeatably fire is VERY loud BAR (the bursts of for rounds over and over and over).

I of course was caught coming on to her - (damn you camera dude) with the sneak hand of the shoulder technique.

This next shot is Ellen in full cower mode "take" 70ish! We spent perhaps 13 hours filming one 3-5 minute scene. This was a practice I believe.

So I have a bunch to say but not for tonight!

I do want to say Hi to Pam and all of her friends at the pizza place and that beautiful little girl that shook my hand.

Also Hi to Kitty who was near SAY IT WITH ME, it was fun playing telephone tag, and of course Shannon the elevator girl and her blog-buddies from across the nation.

NOW - bedtime and a small amount of blog reading.

Rod

  1. Rod, looks like you had a full day! How could you not be aware that you are so well known? We tell you how famous you are all the time! :)

I made it up there tonight, I'll post all the fun shots of the area I got tomorrow. But I did post many many Johnny pics from the meet and greet tonight. I broke my Cardinal rule and didn't Photoshop any of them yet, but I wanted to get them up. You can find them here:

  16. Hello.
First of all I'd like to thank you for the wonderful blog. I haven't posted here before, but I check it daily for news and photos. You do a great job compiling all the info, grinder.

Also, I have a request for grinder, michele, lynn, tj and anyone else who has JD related photos.

I have a friend who maintains a JD photo site, www.deppography.com. If you check it out you'll see she's done an amazing job, not only amassing pictures but developing the site. The photos are categorised and cross-referenced depending on time-frame, event, photographer etc. She's also rather obsessive about crediting the photographers. She'd appreciated it if you gave her permission to use your photographs and tell her how you'd like them to be credited.

  29. Does anyone know where they are taping today? I heard they are not taping downtown, but are taping somewhere out in the country. Possibly near Winchester. I was going to head downtown today, but I won't if they aren't taping today.

My extras who were giving me information are done taping, so I lost my connections :-P

  30. They might be filming in the Nevada/Custer area off of Harrison this week. The OPD were out there putting up cones ands barricades and my source heard them say that it is for some scenes that were going to be shot with the old warehouses in the background.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Thanks Mr. Anonymous.

I guess those old warehouses might be cool to film at. I heard something somewhere about a chase scene on a dirt road in Winchester (but maybe they meant up by mercer). Gosh I just love how Mann is taking advantage of our beautiful state!

BTW, I must give Michelle my vote for the best photography coverage of Public Enemies. She has captured so many details, it's going to be so great to see her flickr site after the movie comes out.

I'm also appreciative to Rod for this venue. Without it, I don't think I would have met nearly as many cool people. :)
