Where Is My Cavalry

Earlier this week I felt like General Robert E Lee.

One of my favorite movies is "Gettysburg" and being a American Civil War buff and just a general military strategy buff I was reminded of the time when General Lee was counting on the commander of his cavalry EB Stewart to keep him informed on where the Union Army of the Potomac was.

I had reports that "The Company" had moved but it's where abouts were as yet unknown. A spy had whispered to me Tuesday morning about goings on in the Mirror Lake area around The Dells but confirmation was needed before there was another "blunder in Minocqua" incident.

Well the Mirror Lake tip seems to be solid as they snuck in under the radar, perhaps they camouflaged the white trucks to look like trees.

Yet there is the problem of "Where is Johnny". I feel he is nowhere near Wisconsin and is in hot sweltering LA. Why would he be in Wisconsin, there are no scenes where he is precipitating.

SO - what does all this mean to YOU.

Well - it seems the schedule is all messed up with multiple shoots in multiple cities at multiple times and "one person in the know" is saying one thing while News disorganizations are saying other things.

The Isthmus - the one I trust at the moment is saying filming will start in the Wisconsin Capitol Friday and break for the weekend. Then return on Monday, May 5 for shoots outside of the building along the sidewalks and steps facing State Street, Wisconsin Avenue, and East Washington Avenue. My insider confirmed it would be . . . . the 8th. So much for being "on the inside" and another person found out it would be the 9th. Now it's the 5th.

Of course this is a problem for Columbus which we had assumed would be shooting Monday at the Poser House (with JD). If that is still happening we have EVERYBODY in Wisconsin, just not all in the same place.

And what of Beaver Dam and Milwaukee???

A fascinating ride isn't it. Divide and conquer.

Well done Universal City Studios. It's almost like they have done this before.

DJ are I are taking tomorrow off from work to do a little front yard landscaping so the blog will have a slightly more random time for being updated.

I think we will need to Kurth it after we're done though.
~~~~~~~
I was sent an email that had a link to a website where I could reserve a spot in heaven. I thought this was a great idea but alas, that site is blocked here at work. MAN - talk about the government controlling you!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In a bring you down moment, the "Father of LSD" died Tuesday. Yea - I'm a child of the 60's baby and I'm alive to try to remember that era. It all makes sense now doesn't it.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
And finally.
I received an email from Jenny
After every flight, UPS pilots fill out a form, called a 'gripe sheet,'which tells mechanics about problems with the aircraft. The mechanics correct the problems, document their repairs on the form, and then pilots review the gripe sheets before the next flight.
here are a few of the gripes and the comments from the mechanics
P: Test flight OK, except auto-land very rough.
S: Auto-land not installed on this aircraft.
P: Autopilot in altitude-hold mode produces a 200 feet per minute descent
S: Cannot reproduce problem on ground.
P: Number 3 engine missing.
S: Engine found on right wing after brief search.
P: Noise coming from under instrument panel. Sounds like a midget pounding on something with a hammer.
S: Took hammer away from midget
OK - this is what happens on the 1st business day of the month and ALL of my software runs on the LAST business day of the month. busy busy work work.
Gotta put out the fires (notice you were first before the fires).
Have I posted this photo before (it's all starting to blending together).
This was taken just east of Columbus last fall and is featured in the some Wisconsin calender.
  2. Very funny about the UPS tidbits! Made me laugh.
    Nice photo too, looks very serene!
    So.......now the Columbus shoot is really up in the air? I was planning on coming up on Monday....I live in Madison, so to catch the filming here is no problem...but that will all be FBI stuff, no JD!
  4. JD's black SUV - can some one tell me if it ALWAYS has Indiana license plates or have you seen ILL?
    I have an eye on it!
    ReplyDelete
  5. Rod!!!! Shame on you for asking that! Tread lightly on the JD info man! You're going to tick someone off again!
    PS.(Want a pic of the plate?)
    ReplyDelete
  6. They're really making it difficult with everyone's work (vacation) schedules by changing the scheduling this way! I think we should just all meet in Columbus and have a party whether they show up or not!!
    ReplyDelete
  7. yeah, dont want to piss someone off here!
    so what are the plates?! lol
    ReplyDelete
  8. sue, my plan is to come up on monday. thats the only day i have off and got a babysitter!
    rod-im the same person who was emailing you via yahoo the other day about coming up, you said you would be wearing a fedora!
    ReplyDelete
  9. All I can say..and i posted this on imdb. No reason to come try to see anything Friday in Madison. It will be late filming. won't see anything its inside...etc etc. DO not bother really. Unless you want to stare at the capitol!:)
  10. Great picture; beautiful!
    OH MY GOD!!! The Timberline Inn in Manitowish Waters has posted some pictures from their encounters with the Publice Enemies film crew. Go to www.timberlineinn.com to see them for yourself. (They load slow.) My favorite is the picture of JD in front of the H&M truck...it is TO DIE FOR! :)
    ReplyDelete
  11. lotus, thanks for the link, but where is a pic of JD?
    ReplyDelete
  12. "you said you would be wearing a fedora!"
    Is someone asking me "Who am I wearing?"
    Actually I now know why the Fedora style hats went away - any breeze over 10 mph and you are holding on to your hat.
    They are like mini umbrellas!
    ReplyDelete
  13. :)
    well who are you wearing? lol.
    no, i was just purely using the
    fedora comment as a way to identify myself.
    mini umbrellas, eh? well, ill keep that in mind if i ever buy one!
  14. my earlier post, regarding what was posted on the city of columbus website, it said the fimling would be the 5th, it now says the 8th. next thursday
  15. Hehe, thanks for the new JD photo, Lotus. Perhaps the look for Dillinger after he had plastic surgery! ;)
  16. ha, lotus, im a little slow on the uptake today.
  17. You folks are entertaining, even with the bickering yesterday!
    Rod, wear the fedora Friday night; Osh, make sure you show up at Kurth (Ethan will like it, too, they have free popcorn) and Shakenbsis, I hope you travel to Columbus Friday night for something and stop by Kurth.
    This will be the first time in weeks I'm able to go to Kurth, and I bet NONE OF YOU show up, right?
    ReplyDelete
  18. Rod:
    Due to the general confusion about the film schedule and because I was bitten by the PE virus, I have a bad case of white truckanosis. As I'm driving along, and I drive A LOT, I find myself craining my neck to look at ALL the white trucks and see if they are with Universal. Is there a vaccine for white truckanosis?
    ReplyDelete
  19. as per a memo sent out to capitol employees filming will take place after the building is closed. So thats why i said do not bother going friday to see filming.
    ReplyDelete
  20. Hey, I just realized that the white foam around my mouth is probably a side-effect of white truckanosis! I'll have to see a Specialist, fast!
    ReplyDelete
  21. So no info on Milwaukee huh? I think I'm still gonna check it out this week-end... maybe I'll get lucky.
    ReplyDelete
  22. kathy-
    whats going on on friday?
    ReplyDelete
  23. I didn't send you anything about that airplane mechanic.
    ReplyDelete
  24. Friday night is indoor/closed set Congressional scenes. Next week, more of that with some outdoor shooting. The 8th is the big day....
    ReplyDelete
  25. dudes, Evan will be wearing his Fedora and trenchcoat. He will be selling hot Rolexes and fake designer purses in hopes to keep the fangurls and stalkers away.
    ReplyDelete
  26. Thanks Anon-
    So there will be some shooting in Columbus on Friday..is that what Kathy was referring to?
    I know the 8th is the big day for columbus.
    ReplyDelete
  27. Nope...the 8th is the day for Madison/The Capitol...unless they've changed it in the last 48 hours (I know the Isthmus says the 5th...but I haven't gotten word on that change)
    On Tues of this week they moved up the main indoor/Cap shoot to this Friday night (It was to be shot next week).
    No word on Columbus...but I *had* heard that was to be early next week....so that could be the shooting for the 5th that everyone is talking about.
    ReplyDelete
  28. 1. Schedule has changed it in the last 24 hours.
    2. Lotus Too funny about the white foam
    3. Tomorrow is a must read if you like history - I'm excited! TEASER ALERT. Lock the doors of the Auditorium. Get security.
    Isthmus says May 2nd and 5th for Madison. They got a permit to begin filming.
    Columbus city website says the 8th for them.
    ReplyDelete
  30. I'll believe the change when my phone rings.
    ReplyDelete
  31. here is a link to the permit filled out by PE people for the Madison shoot...it says may 2nd and may 5th.
  32. Alright anon, you don't have to get mean. :)
    I'm just posting what I have found...that's all. :)
    ReplyDelete
  33. As I mentioned elsewhere, following Mann's army is like following a military campaign - a very confusing military campaign. As much as I've tried, I still don't have a clear understanding of exactly what Mann's boys and girls were doing during the past 10 days. I guess we will find out for sure when the history of "Mann's 2008 Campaign Through Wisconsin" is written.
    We HAVE to see a lot of action in the next two weeks or so. Mann has to come out of hiding and start shooting - the countdown to Chicago has begun. Other than the Madison dates, the speculation of possibilities is starting to give me a headache. Probable the most important question is not where is JD?, but where is MM? - find the Mann and you've found the real action.
    ReplyDelete
  34. Again, if anyone's interested in Madison this is a good site with detailed info... http://www.thedailypage.com/daily/article.php?article=22476
    ReplyDelete
  35. Well...that link *is* quite convincing...:)
    ReplyDelete
  36. yes, jp let's see the plates!
    ReplyDelete
  37. All right - no need to bait people anon.
    All they are doing is posting information. There is no need to argue passively.
    ReplyDelete
  38. "While the list of details from the Capitol Police indicates that the exterior shoot will be on Thursday, May 8, the cover sheet indicates that it will be Monday, May 5, so the exact date is not definitively indicated."
    Interesting...
    The PDF of the permit says May 5th for exterior....
    And city of columbus says may 8th for their shoot..
    well youre right gary, its like trying to follow a military campaign!
    ReplyDelete
  39. Kat-
    the article you posted was posted by the isthmus yesterday at 2pm. The article I found that referenced the PDF of the permit was posted by the Isthmus at 9:13pm. T
    That article and permit says May 2nd and 5th for Madison.
    I would think that if a permit was filed, the PE production team would have to stick by the dates given.
    Hope that helps, I am glad we are all here to help each other.
    I would assume CB will be at the Capitol shoot, but not JD. And say that lightly because we know what happens when we assume! ;)
    ReplyDelete
  40. I wasn't arguing. I was passing on the info given to me from casting. No baiting here.
    ReplyDelete
  41. Tara, regarding your post from yesterday: "I will be going to Mayo Clinic...,"
    I wish you the best of luck at the Mayo Clinic and will say a prayer for your health and recovery.
    ReplyDelete
  42. Lotus-Thanks for bringing that post up from yesterday. I too will be saying a prayer for you Tara. May God keep you strong!
    Also, lotus, in your picture, is that your little baby? Boy or girl? Its hard to tell from the pic! anyway, what a cute little one!
  47. Oh Where-Oh Where is JD? I am in withdrawal. I need new NEWS. I am blaming the internet for my addiction! That includes numerous JD forums,Rod's blog,The Northwestern newspaper and the biggy---You Tube--All those exciting videos.
    P.S. The picture is gorgeous!!!
    ReplyDelete
  48. lotus-i was thinking the exact same thing today!! i was out walking at the horicon marsh today and there were 4 big white vans there. they parked in two spots while i was there but unfortunaly i never caught up with them so i couldn't see who it was...i'm guessing its a very good chance they were just a group of people visiting but i couldn't help but get excited. I also find myself gauking at every big black SUV i meet on the road.
    has anyone heard any news about beaver dam? is it even still in the picture?? someone at school said they knew a guy that was going to watch it today but i told him i didn't think they were filming today. i hope i didn't miss it!!
    ReplyDelete
  49. I think I need to refill my xanax.
    Now, is Kurth's a bar? Why do I think it is a fried chicken place???
    And Rod, about the car tags...the first Monday of filming in Oshkosh I stood next to an overly made up lady (god forbid she reads this) who informed me she was thisclose to JD that day and had memorized both plates of the cars he was using. Then she pushed me into a telephone pole and I cut my finger and bled so I couldn't shake JD's hand....
    ReplyDelete
  50. All I have to say is, "Loose Lips Sink Ships" just kidding!!! With all the military talk had to revert to my Navy days = )
    Rod! Gettysburg is one of my all time favorite movies too!
    Christine - Thanks so much for the links, I will be checking them out tonight. I went to DC last year for the cherry blossoms and tried to squeeze in Gettysburg but couldn't get it done = ( THANK YOU!!!
    Drat you spammers, apparently I am word verification challenged!
    ReplyDelete
  51. "Then she pushed me into a telephone pole and I cut my finger and bled so I couldn't shake JD's hand...."
    oh osh!! that's terrible!!
    I think I would have pushed back ~ well, not really, but it would have been tempting!!;)
  52. I'll always have a teeny tiny little scar on my pointy finger...
    ReplyDelete
  53. shakenbsis,
    if you ever make it to Gettysburg, let me know. I would love to meet up with you. It's an hour from where I live!!
    you could share ALL your JD experiences with me in person!! :)
    ReplyDelete
  54. osh, your "battle" scar to remember JD while in WI.
    ReplyDelete
  55. Oh Osh, I missed that! What is it JD says about our 'scars'??
    Kathy!! I will try, I was going to stay home since I thought I'd be going back on Monday but it looks as though MOnday might be off so I can probably be persuaded! = ) Can't wait to meet you face to face.
    ReplyDelete
  56. that would be wonderful Christine! I almost feel as though I know you already = )
    ReplyDelete
  57. Channel 15 news announced May 2 and May 8 as dates for filming in
    and around the Capital. So I guess that's a definate (even said they
    got permission for a smoke filled room).
    NOW, if we can just get some dates for Columbus and Beaver Dam!!
    ReplyDelete
  58. Rod, were you spammed again today? Or does this word verification come and go at random intervals?
    maegen, the picture is my granddaughter. She is nine months old and has become my favorite photo subject! My family complains because I cut them out of pictures and blow up (increase in size) the baby! It's a grandma's perogative.
    kenra, get to the DR FAST if you start foaming at the mouth!
    And, shakenbsis, I was in the Army! And we also used that phrase about loose lips! I'll bet there are more women on this (message) post :) that are veterans than male veterans. Cool!!!
    ReplyDelete
  59. Oh Christine and Shakes, count me in for a battlefield field trip. I am a total history geek.
    And here is my other JD connection besides meeting him 3 times...he was born in Owensboro KY...that is where my family is from.
    Christine, I know you are interested in genealogy, I just started putting my stuff online, I have lots more to add.
  60. Lotus - nice to hear that, it might be worth a poll, LOL. Where were you stationed?
    ReplyDelete
  61. osh,
    That is a really beautiful site you have. The colors are really calming.
    You have done a REALLY nice job putting your family history together!! KUDOS to you!!
    Am I right to assume the photo on your site is family members?
    ReplyDelete
  62. Christine,thank you, yes, all family members.
    I am so lucky. My ggrandfather was a photographer for the Post Dispatch in St. Louis, so I have many pictures that I pilfered over the years. My grandmother started me out and it turned into an obsession!
    I have boxes and boxes of stuff to scan and add. I just remember how happy I was finding somebody researching a branch that I want to be able to share what I can.
    ReplyDelete
  63. Oh, I got around! :) I spent 1 1/2 years in Korea after going through Basic, schooling, etc. in the states. After Korea I worked at NSA for a bit. Married a LIFER and lived in Virginia for several years before we all moved to WI & my home town. How about you?
    ReplyDelete
  64. Sorry, kendra, I forgot the "d." I'm a baddddd typist!
    ReplyDelete
  65. since you all seem like big history buffs would anyone like to volunteer to take the national AP US History exam for me next friday? :)
    ReplyDelete
  66. hey!! it's survivor night!!
    Rod never said anything about last weeks show besides saying it was a good show.
    hmmm....wonder how things will go tonight....
    no spoilers here...
    lotus,
    that is a very cute picture of your granddaughter...and I totally understand what you mean about grandchildren:)
    ReplyDelete
  67. Thanks, christine-the historian, you must be one of US (grandparent, that is). We lived near the Manassas Battlefield in Virginia for a while; very interesting. Although I like the ghost stories more than the history part, although I do like history.
    By the way, Rod, with all the veterans on this site you probably could come up with your own cavalry. You bring the horses and we can storm the Capital!
    ReplyDelete
  68. Lotus - Only been through Korea once or twice. Stationed in Japan, San Diego, Arizona, Florida, in the iNdian Ocean and on the USS Coronado. I may have missed a place or two but that's the gist of it. I'm an NSA'er too (cryptography, maintenance branch) but never actually stationed in Washington.
    ReplyDelete
  69. shakenbsis, that is pretty neat! I think when I was enlisted, the Navy had just started a test/pilot program of putting women on ships, so my hat is off to you! I was a ditty bopper; aka: morse code intercept operator, 05H. Yes, I listened to morse code and copied it. In Korea there was a small detail of Navy, all males (it was in the 70's), ditty boppers that sat across from me at work. Didn't trust 'em! :) Did you have a guy in every port?
    ReplyDelete
  70. Rod:
    I think you've lost control here! You better rally the troops. Put us on KP or something.
    ReplyDelete
  71. Wow--you all were busy on this blog today, while I was doing school and work.
    So here is the latest scoop from our house:
    My "movie star" is on the set as I write this! He is a stand in for Baby Face Nelson. How cool is that? They are doing a night shoot and it sounds like it could be a long one.
    It sounds like they are really trying to confuse people. He might be needed work tomorrow and next week, but the casting people said they don't know until the day of. So even they don't always know what is coming up next :-) He didn't get final information about tonight until this afternoon.
    I'm still jealous that I'm stuck here in the Mad City while he is up there rubbing elbows with the stars. Must be nice!
    Ciao for now!
    ReplyDelete
  72. he's not in beaver dam is he?! man i knew i should have driven down there to check it out!
    ReplyDelete
  73. No. At least not tonight anyway. They are "somewhere else".
    ReplyDelete
  74. whew..ok thats all i needed to know
    ReplyDelete
  75. Tara--my thoughts and prayers are with you. Our family has seen a lot of cancer--I hate it so much! It is one of the big reasons I am going to nursing school. We'll be thinking of you. Make sure you let us know how you are doing. Doesn't it feel like a bunch of friends or family on this blog? Love it! God Bless!
    ReplyDelete
  76. all i can say...is that this is the dirtiest survivor i have every, every watched!! WOW!!
    ReplyDelete
  77. movie star wife, they wouldn't be filming the intimate nightlife scenes in Columbus tonight would they?
    ReplyDelete
  78. Lotus, wouldn't Rod tell us if they were in Columbus? Please don't give me a heart attack.
    ReplyDelete
  79. osh:
    Maybe that's why he's not on here posting. Hummmm??? He's out taking a look-see.
    Don't mean to give you a heart attack. It's just how my mind works.
    ReplyDelete
  80. ::GASP::
    I am now kicking myself for my mind not working this way. I can't believe my obsessive over analytical brain has failed me.
    ReplyDelete
  81. Believe me, when my brain isn't like this it IS obsessive and over analytical! This time is my brain taking a break.
    ReplyDelete
  82. That shoot out if it's when they "get" Baby Face Nelson will be so AWESOME. FBI guys getting killled filling BFN with bullets and then he drives off all full of bullet holes....how exciting your hubby gets to see that filming! (If like the book it's on a 4 lane divided road where multiple turn arounds take place....makes me drool just thinking about it)
    Man, my days off schedule for next week 5 & 6 (could maybe change to 8th) but who the heck knows for sure any filming days???? The blog from the Timberline Inn (near Manitowish Waters) said PE crew left there for a couple days to film in Milwaukee and then returned.
    Everyone keep their eyes and ears peeled-maybe Rod does need to call out the calvary we need someone to figure this out. I agree, if we could only find Mann..........
    ReplyDelete
  83. Rod and those in Columbus: keep us posted on if that cobblestone turns up or should I say "gets down" hahaha anytime soon that would be a clue that filming will be soon thereafter ;)
    ReplyDelete
  84. They are in the great outdoors. I won't say anything else--I really don't want to get anyone in trouble. I am signing off for tonight. I will let you know if there is anything interesting to report, tomorrow. Have a good night!
    ReplyDelete
  85. osh, are you thinking what I'm thinking? The grave/burial scene...
    ReplyDelete
  86. Mayor Nancy Osterhaus' blog also says Columbus filming will be May 8 in the afternoon.....says crew will start setting up for the shoot this weekend
    ReplyDelete
  87. oh Hamilton...that is emotional.
    hmm, and now the 8th. Now I have hives over this.
    ReplyDelete
  88. yeah, you got that email from me about the UPS pilots, but who's keeping track, LOL
    ReplyDelete
  89. hi all
    Had to work today..you all have been busy..
    this is all I know or don't know...Drove by the Rogers Hotel(BD) in AM and PM no action really --just saw one of the white trucks and it looked empty..Stoplights are still down though.
    Talked to someone connected with the Poser house in Columbus lots of worker bee's there bringing in lots of furniture, but they don't know which day filming is either....
    sorry I just am as confused as you all are
    Rod I love the photo of the Dam My husb.took a panoramic of it and- as a gift- a family friend painted it for us it is just beautiful.one of my favorite places and lots of memories, when we were in H.S. we'd go fishing there.
    if you all go to the Kurth have one for me--
    ReplyDelete
  90. Okay, now I believe it :)
    ReplyDelete
  91. This posted today on the mayor's blog:
    "This week the City Council discussed the 2008 – 10 capital expenditure plan and established funding for several very important projects in our city. We plan to put a new roof on City Hall. This grand old building needs a new roof. It is long overdue and needs our attention. This building has stood as the cornerstone of our downtown area since 1892. It is still a very viable structure and with a new roof will likely stand another 100 years serving the citizens of Columbus. Several years ago the roof was tested and determined to be over stressed, and in need of repairs. This is tricky to fix a roof when business is going on downstairs. City hall offices, the police department, council chambers and the Eastern Columbia County Court use the building. It will be interesting to see how they seal off the upstairs during construction. I’m sure that we’ll get rain as soon as the old roof is removed. It always seems to go that way."
    I like how 'The Auditorium' isn't mentioned = )
    ReplyDelete
  92. Anon 9:36 pm, apparently your phone rang?
    ReplyDelete
  93. shakenbsis, i hear ya.
    at least she did make note of this..."This building has stood as the cornerstone of our downtown area since 1892."
    that is what you all NEED to remind "the powers that be" of Columbus.
    oops, i'm an outsider....guess i shouldn't really be telling you what you NEED to be doing....but i care about you all wanting to save this building and the audi, plus, i agree with saving it...:)
    ReplyDelete
  94. O.K., I said I was signing off. And I did. But. . .my "movie star" just called me from the set and I couldn't resist telling you. JD is not there. CB is. My hubby said he was told that most night shoots haven't ended until almost 8am--he has a long night ahead of him! That's all for now. . . now I am really going to go to bed. Snore. . . :-]
    ReplyDelete
  95. Auditorium is not mention because it is a separate project.
    The city owns the building so it is their roof to fix. However the Auditorium I BELIEVE is a separate entity.
    So - the roof is a city problem while the Auditorium is a private venture and funds will need to come Not from the city but private donations.
    ReplyDelete
  96. well there goes the burial scene theory
    ReplyDelete
  97. My, my, my....so much confusion. It drives me CRAZY that we don't know what's up! MM and those Hollywood types are giggling at us, aren't they?
  98. Just read this in the Portage Daily Register: MAN they are sending out conflicting messages-guess they don't even know what day filming is!! :o (guess they do have a "fluid" schedule)
    Filming of "Public Enemies" is tentatively scheduled to return to the area on Wednesday, location scout Adam Boor said.
    "That's the only day that I have been given," Boor said Thursday.
    The cast and crew of "Public Enemies" will be in downtown Beaver Dam at The Rogers on Wednesday morning and James Street in Columbus that afternoon.
    Boor said that they are scheduled to be back in Chicago by next week although he is unsure of the rest of the shooting schedule.
    As soon as the day after the shooting, Boor said the traffic lights will be put back up downtown.
    "Public Enemies" is a movie starring Johnny Depp as John Dillinger and costarring Christian Bale and Marion Cotillard.
    This week, the Wisconsin Capitol is being prepared for scenes involving the government and the FBI in film.
  99. Christine! don't feel bad for a second, I am very much qan outsider too! LOL (an outsider with a big weird crush on Columbus)
    I was actually trying to subtly say it was a good thing that the Auditorium wasn't mentioned. I don't do subtle well online = ) Thanks Rod for clearing that up!
    Suz, Kathy you realy twisted my arm, hopefully I'll do a better job of storm dodging this week = )
  100. Lotus 7:11 pm - sorry I missed that. Ditty-Bopper, eh? we had another word for it which is escaping me right now. = ) Yes, times have really changed. I went in in the very early 80's. There were only 7% females then and not allowed to be on any ship that mattered (only supply.) Things changed quite drasticly during my 12 years in. Tough at times but an experience I wouldn't trade for anything.
    maybe we'll get to trade stories one of these days...
  101. I'm hoping the information in the Portage Daily Register is incorrect; Wednesday is THE WORST
    Glad to read you missed my 7:11 post. I was starting to think that my crack about "a guy in every port" upset you. Another word for ditty-bopper? When you remember it you MUST share it. :) I can only IMAGINE what it would be. :)
  107. I didn't mean to post as anonymous. This is my first comment(about the Rogers/Congress) and I don't want to be confused with the other "in the know" anonymous.
  108. Nope, Bryan works with the extras. He's usually got a clipboard and spikey hair.
    He just says hi to the online community as a whole :)
