Are They? Arn't They?

Lost and lots of rumors flying around about Friday. I have people telling me both ways. I know there is still a farm house scene that has not been shot and a "dust bowl" scene and a few others but . . . . . things change.

Hereonotthere said no way and I tend to trust him even though he has been out of the loop several times, still, he is the most official person to say anything so far.

All I do know is that IF they do come here there will be no need for extras and so forth.
----------------------------------------------
Speaking of rain and what is approaching. We could actually use a little. My birch trees are feeling a little stressed. However - some are saying 3 inches in the next few days. Normally 1 inch per week is what you need for healthy gardens and trees.

Here is a map that was compiled with the total rain fall June1 through 15th. I participated in this study.

----------------------------------------------------------
DJ was having a problem with Yahoo the other night with AVAST (the BEST anti virus software out there AND it's free). She kept getting a warning about the VBS:malware-gen virus.

Seems to be a false positive. i think only users of AVAST are getting it. When I installed the newer version of Firefox (way faster the Firefox 2) it went away.

ANYWAY - if you are tired of paying for anti virus - you should really get AVAST - it's free and better then Norton or the other one.

Of course Mac user will laugh because their machines don't need anti virus. . . yet. Funny - there are now contests to create viruses for Mac's because their users are becoming arrogant and bragging that they have no problems.

-----------------------------------------------

If you want to see what kind of friends I have check out Adubys blog - here is a teaser - ""Did you just slap me???"." "This is where I'm grateful for Showtime Boxing on the Nintendo Wii where I've honed my boxing skills".

And all this action after he hits a double eagle at Door Creek.

Gotta run
Rod

  3. I've been using Avast for the past two years with no problems....other than the random "freak out" moment when I have my speakers turned on and I hear that guy's voice say "virus database has been updated"....but lately everyone has been talking up AVG's software.

I put it on the computers I'm rehabbing for the Boys and Girls Club...we'll see.

BTW...i still have some money for the Auditorium....how/when am I going to get that to you?

    ReplyDelete
  4. I like Avast--used it for a long time until a friend shared his Avira with me. ;) Another good one that is reasonably priced is ESET. It is my favorite, really, but free is gooder!! ;)

I'm not finding the new Firefox to be faster. :(

dj-the centipede is still in his house. hehe

  5. Macs. Pssh.

Go Linux. Then you really don't need anti-virus software. Nor do you ever have to pay for software again. :D

  6. Mac's are great....but no more secure than a PC... they do have a better spokesperson tho!

  7. SuZ--Lets hope he stays where he BELONGS!!! HA

I don't know a whole lot about these computer thingys. I just know that stuff happens when I push da pretty buttons! :P

    ReplyDelete
  8. Dj...are you sure you're talking about computers...and not Rod?

Or are Rod's buttons not as pretty as those on the computer?

  9. we don't care about computers!
    where is basecamp??????

  10. I've had AVG Free for the longest time; but it is now being discontinued (don't know if they will be offering another free version or only paid). I found it to be better than Norton! I accepted an offer to try Stamps.com just to get a free year of the AVG 8.0 Anti-virus which is normally a paid for program, but haven't been able to get it to completely install!! I thought maybe it was because the AVG 7.5 Free Version is still on my computer; but when I try to uninstall that, it says that uninstall is not possible because AVG 7.5 is not installed????????
That's really strange, since it updates and scans for viruses daily!! And it's still showing up in my programs!AAAARRGGHHHHHHHH!!!

  11. Rod, did you get the copy of the article of the Amtrack Station painting party that I sent yesterday??

    ReplyDelete
  12. Osh....no one but stalkers would care where basecamp is....and it seems all the stalkers are on a field trip today.....so "Sorry...can't help you!"
But if I hear anything...I'll call Evan.

  15. Are you crawling around on your hands and knees looking for PE junk again Osh?
    How's the weather down there?

    ReplyDelete
  16. JP: I try to avoid pushing Rod's buttons at ALL COSTS! He's a real bad ass! :)

    ReplyDelete
  17. bastages! all of you!

don't worry J^P, you will get your autograph! JD loves that picture so much, he already asked me if he could have 5 more copies! So take that!

Could you ask him to sign a copy of the Enquirer too please?
    Thanks in advance!!!!
How hot is it down therrrrr?
    Cuz it's toasty in Oshkosh!

Rachel: someone is experiencing multiple personalities.....but sadly it's not me. :(

DJ: I'll trust your judgement in regards to that. Good call!

    Submitted by kimbav on June 25, 2008 - 8:29am.
what a great night! i had the pleasure of meeting aspiring actress and her two beautiful daughters! (aspiring if you are reading this PM me!) AND JOHNNY! We had a blast! When i was leaving the city trucks were parking down by clark and lasalle (across the street from Eugenie Terrace) the scoop i got was chicago today, "kankakee tommorrow" and wisconsin friday and that’s it…we all know the schedule changes so if i learn more i will post. Good luck everyone!

  22. ROD :)
    Thank you for everything!
(for the contact you gave me) :)
(My e-mail system broke down, so I lost your adress and couldn't write you another way)

    best wishes from Germany

    Julie :)

  23. There it is again "Wisconsin Friday"

    ReplyDelete
  24. That's the same post you put in your blog yesterday, Rod. They were just stating that the person was right about Kankakee.

With both HNT & Lips Are Sealed saying NO to Wisconsin, I think it's a safe bet they're not coming. They filmed at an old farmhouse in Kankakee today.

    ReplyDelete
  25. I am reading tomorrows call sheet..

    NO Wisconsin!
    NO Wisconsin!
    NO Wisconsin!
    NO Wisconsin!

  27. NO Wisconsin!
    NO Wisconsin!
    NO Wisconsin!
    NO Wisconsin!

hmmmm - not sure what that really means!

    :-)

lips - I wish I know what sort of sheet "I" had. The entire schedule with scenes and numbers for actors.

you can find them in all the Extra's brief cases. It was right on until Little Bo.

  28. Sorry if this is posted already, no time to read the blog right now... at work... anyway... rumors right now is filming today is in St Anne... about 12 miles from where we heard in Kanakee (sp?) Base Camp is at the local high school and scenes being shot are at an abandoned farmhouse. I think we are still heading down but it's unclear right now if JD is done for the day or not....

  29. Good afternoon:

I've posted this statement before, but here again, Johnny and I just weren't meant to meet:(

Drove to Chicago Tuesday (from Madison), heading to Jefferson Park. Had never been to that neighborhood, but was easy to find. Sign for base camp was right on the main drag, along with a sign for the PE Shuttle. No one was around base camp, so drove around for awhile until I found Gale St., which is where the post on Hollywoodchicago pointed me.

Strange shoot, as Gale St. was an extremely busy short street - bus route. No barricades, either. VERY noisy, what with constant traffic and jets directly overhead. Spoke with a resident who said this building being used for shoot had been the old police station, and had a jail that hadn't been used for years. Truck with huge pipes pumping air conditioning inside. No other PE "fans" hanging around, that I noted. Lots of locals, asking ME what was going on! Told 'em what I knew.

Spent most of my time jawing with a couple of crew members from Chicago, who handed out a bit of info. This was to be an interior shoot with Marion. Ladies prison (or jail). Mann was there, but didn't see either the actress or director. Quite a few female extras, which I assume were other inmates.

The crew members weren't exactly enamored with Mann. In fact, were a bit brutal! Won't state exactly what was said, but let's just say it has to do with his perfectionist nature. One of the guys was with a special effects crew and felt that Mann took too many chances with the gun shots. Like, blasts going off too close to actors!

Also mentioned the night shoot downtown was a closed set. Johnny and Marion in the bathroom. Hmmmmm. Said they didn't know where the shoot was (they're actually with the 2nd unit, but since Mann was directing they'd taken base camp to Jefferson Park). I'd read a post earlier in the day that it would be around Lincoln and Wells.

Found Lincoln and Wells FINALLY around 8:00 pm. 3 Universal trucks were unloading furniture. No one else around, so I decided to head out. Being night blind, the drive back home would be a challenge.

Wish I'd known that some of you guys were there and I'd have stayed. I'd even brought my Jack Sparrow doll along for Mr. Depp to sign. Ah well.

Jack Sparrow is a nice addition to my doll collection. Don't go for out of the ordinary dolls, and he isn't! If you want to see photos, email me @ jmsylvester@peoplepc.com. There are also Elizabeth Swann and Will Turner dolls, and the details are amazing. Were created by Robert Tonner, a well known fashion doll sculpter in the doll world. Demi Moore is a big fan of his.

Will keep checking in on this Friday shoot deal. Only way I'm driving anywhere else is if they show up in Columbus.

Have a nice, yet muggy day!
    Jane

  30. The crew is tired I'm sure. I hope that no one gets in trouble for speaking poorly of MM if it was just out of being exhausted.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Ok Jenny.... PLEASE share how you did that!!!! I want hot links!!! ;)

    ReplyDelete
  49. I'm learning html right now at work, so I thought I'd try it out here. You have to code your link. It won't let me type it on here though, because it thinks I'm trying to code something

    ReplyDelete
  50. OMG! I NEVER KNEW THAT WAS HIM!!!
    hahahahaha, he's so funny!

    ReplyDelete
  51. Thanks to Cranky Anonoymous for finding that link. Whoo hoo!!

    ReplyDelete
  52. Yeah, I've seen that commercial a ton of times and never noticed. Then Michelle showed me the commercial on You Tube Tuesday and I was like oh my god! It's JMB!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  53. Thanks Jenny!! That is so cool! I think I've seen that one too, but never noticed...it was JMB!

    ReplyDelete
  54. Jenny if you bracket it will it let you show the code?

I did not know that was JMB!!!! That is a trip!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  55. I'll survive if i don't get an autograph..i wonder if the mosquitos are as bad there as they are here?
They are down right ravenous tonight...haven't felt them this bad in years.

Go team WI!!! Battling fangirls and fighting off malaria...all in the name of JD!

Oh yeah Osh...don't forget to ask JD for his pants...when he's done with them of course.

    ReplyDelete
  56. when I try to type the code to show you it thinks I'm trying to link something :P

    [linkname]

    ReplyDelete
  57. JMB was on the Milwaukee news tonight I guess. I'll find out more in a bit...

    ReplyDelete
  58. Michelle got the link to the JMB from Cranky ... awesome find!!

    ReplyDelete
  59. Put one of these "<" then put "a" space "href" = then put your link in quotes"" then put ">" then type your link not in quotes then put "<" "/" "a" ">" But with no quotes.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Is that confusing? The only time you put quotes in the whole code is the first time you type the link.

    ReplyDelete
  61. [a href="link"]link name[/a]

Just use these symbols < > instead of the brackets

    ReplyDelete
  62. I gotta go to bed now :P I'm glad I could figure out how to show you the code Minx!

Rachel, be sure to find out what JMB was doing on the Milwaukee news for us all!

    G'nite everyone! Sleep tight!

    ReplyDelete
  63. I just hope I can remember the code!! =0P

That link is precious!!! LOVE the cat on the deer head!!! LMAO!

    Thanks again Jenny!

  77. Seeing that I am the first one home from our group I'm passing on a (brief) account of the days events. There had been TONS of rumors going on about the day. Johnny was supposedly coming out and signing around 2 pm, but to the best of my knowledge this never happened. A bunch of us weren't sure if he would then be wrapped, but unwilling to be deterred we headed down as soon as all of us could. Someone on the crew told me that getting there around 6 would still be ok, and I took his word for it.

The scene being filmed was in fact the farmhouse scene. The road was blocked off more then a half mile away and from what I gathered nothing could be seen.

When I finally arrived at basecamp (6 ish) the place was mobbed. The town of St. Anne has a population of 1300 and I feel fairly confident that a large percentage of the teenage population was there.

Meeting up with all of you from WI, it was a great to finally put a face to a blogname. I was able to see Osh's book, and she did a fabulous job! She was able to give it to Jerry and I am confident it will be put into the right hands.

With a crowd so large, we weren't sure what exactly was going to happen. There was no surprise when Jerry came out saying no autographs, no pictures. According to one person he also said no hugs... When Johnny did come out around 10:15, I was thankful the crowd was not screaming. There had been many of such instances earlier. Although it wasn't a nice quiet 15-20 person meet and greet some of us had been spoiled with lately, Johnny was very gracious and went around shaking as many possible hands as possible. With a last hurrah, he hung off the door from the expedition, waved to the crowd (most likely said a few words... thank you maybe... I couldn't hear), blew a kiss, and was off for the night.

I'm from chile, here are many fans of Johnny, who would like to have the opportunity to meet Johnny
I know that someday in my life I will have the opportunity of met him!
    I hope so!

    Greetings from South America, Chile!
    kisses!

    PS: Hi Osh!
Did you see to Johnny again? :O

    ReplyDelete
  109. Hi Tamara!
Yes, it was a long day...we did see JD. I just wrote up my blog and posted my super bad pictures.
Vicky was able to take some really good ones though.

    ReplyDelete
  110. Yeah, why do they come here and read if they just cut us down all the time? Maybe they're stalking us?

    ReplyDelete
  111. I also have a ton of great pics from last night and the few before it... I haven't been home long enough to get them on-line... I'll do it this week-end. My friend Missy brought her son Zac (5) who is a huge JD fan... we watched "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" and part of "Pirates" on the way down. Jerry came by and talked to Zac, asked him what his favortie movie was and Zac said "Charlie" then I said, "Tell Jerry your favorite line" Zac said "The Earth says hello" it was adorable, When JD came by he was so sweet, he bent down to talk to Zac and hugged him... I got a cute pic of this.. I was a little too close so you only see the top of Zac's head but still really cute. Can't wait to share the pics with all of you.

    ReplyDelete
