The Complete Public Enemies Columbus Blog on a disk

A quick Saturday blog.

All the little Public enemies Elves went to the movies and all came out empty handed with nary a one seeing a PE trailer.

SO - current movies - no trailer.

I WOULD like to hear some reviews of all the holiday movies so if you feel like writing a personal review - go for it.

Speaking of movies we watched Mama Mia! last night. Come on now Meryl Streep?? Remington Steele?? This WOULD have been a good movie if they would have gotten rid of those two clowns. Every time I saw them sing I cringed. They REALLY needed to get two unknowns for those parts.

Good music but Meryl Streep and Pierce Brosnan were REALLY out of character and really killed the movie. I could not take the movie seriously and thought it was a gimmick.

I DID like the music though.
===================================

Be prepared for some HOPEFULLY only minor flooding today. A Sh*tload of heavy rain is coming our way with embedded thunderstorms. turning colder tonight with light freezing rain and a few inches of snow!

==================================

More then one person has contacted me about getting The Complete Public Enemies Columbus Blog on a disk. I know Graham Man has a copy and perhaps he would like to share?

Order in the next 10 minutes and get TWO disks, give to friends BUT WAIT THAT'S NOT ALL. Order in the next THREE minutes and we will send you the 2009 Dog Poop Calendar.

AND THAT'S NOT ALL!!

Act withen the next 30 seconds and we will send you the new Marie Antoinette, Queen of France action figure with ejector head.

Best know for saying "Let them eat cake" this highly educational action figure can be loads of fun for the whole family.

================================

The Wisconsin Football team plays today in the Champs Sports Bowl. I can't tell you how excited I am, seriously, I can't tell you.

"Champs" I believe, is a local bar in Orlando who is sponsoring the game.

Hey - the Twisted Kilt should sponsor the game - THAT would be sweet.

Mark suggested I check into the SWAP shop for a computer. But don't those computers lack operating systems??

Have a wet Saturday

  1. YES! YES! YES! Put me down for the cd's. I can't wait for my Doggy Doo calendar to arrive! But, on the Marie Antoinette doll--won't that popping head "shoot your eye out?"

    I saw Benjamin Button yesterday. Interesting story about growing old in reverse and the love story between Pitt and Blanchett. Good, but I don't know about Oscar. Nominations maybe, but not so sure on any winners. Going to see Miss Meryl in Doubt today. I don't think she sings in this one.

  2. Sorry to burst your beer bubble, Rod, but Champs is a local sporting goods store that is sponsoring the bowl game.

    Your Badgers are going to be hot today, literally. We're having record heat in Orlando.

    Cheers!

    I saw Bedtime Stories. Good movie. Very funny!! Adam Sandler was rather very good in it!

    I am also going to see "Doubt" this weekend like Kitty B'Gosh!!! It looks like a good movie.

    Sad that no one has seen a PE trailer yet. Fingers crossed that we get one soon!

  5. "I didn't mind Meryl Streep..but Pierce was so bad I laugh mostly because of him! I bought the CD of the music where he sings the songs...just because he's so bad! It makes me laugh that they would let him murder the whole movie!!!

  6. I haven't seen Benjamin Button yet but it's one of many on my "to see" list. Saw Australia--liked it a lot; Hugh Jackman, wonderful scenic shots, oh, and did I mention Hugh Jackman?!! Added bonus for me was finding out that David Wenham was in it too! (I AM a total Lord of the Rings junkie, for those of you who don't know me!)

    FYI--Today is Krisx's birthday; she's 35 again!

  9. We say Valkyrie on Christmas Day and really liked it. Iam not a Tom Cruse fan at all but the story was really interesting and full of suspense. I believe the filming was done in Germany which was amazing the the scenes with the old planes appeared to be quite authentic. This is based on the true story of the 15th attempt on Hitler's life. Definitely worth seeing. I don't think the reviews have been very good but I always like to judge for myself. I really don't like the point of view that they have. They seem to usually be very biased and not really objective.

    Have a great weekend everyone. Am anxiously waiting for the Public Enemies trailer.

  10. Grinder,
    All your computer needs can be found where The EQ Alert Guy goes!!! And that is:

    The Computer Store
    (608) 827-7973
    7475 Mineral Point Rd Ste 31 Madison, WI 53717

    That's like "High Point Plaza" or something like that, just the other side of West Towne Mall.
    Tim has been running the place there for many years now and he also taught, or teaches, computer repair at MATC. . . so he basically KNOWS EVERYTHING that there possibly is to know about computers, and always has good used ones laying around for sale. (and old Windows programs, etc., too)
    ALSO, A HUGE FAN OF THE MOVIES!!!!! Tell him "Moviestar" sent you!!! He'll probably want to know about Public Enemies, too!!!
    Tim has done practically all my computer work on every one of my computers over the years and I highly recommend him!!! And good luck with your computer project!!!

  11. You can just click on the blog archive and print the page, the problem is you loose all the comments and sometimes they are almost as good as the blog (caught myself) the one with chasing Johnny at the CA horse race track is awesome! I only have the blogs. If you took the time you could recreate the blog in a word document but it would be a big undertaking unless there is a way to download the html and put it into a word document? Too in depth for my computer skills but it could be done by the right person……

    Rod what about the Universal movie coming out Jan 7th? They only have 3 movies coming out before PE?

  12. Rod, do you need a monitor with your new pc? I have a computer that needs a power supply that I can probably get at Jassen computer for about 30 bucks. I can put xp(passes genuine advantage)on it if you buy one at SWAP I've purchased several from them. Tricky setup. I like your weather station so let me know.

  14. I agree with EQ alert guy... The Computer Store is great! They are easy to work with and don't try to charge you and arm and a leg to do it. I have been very pleased with their work.

    Hope everyone is enjoying the lovely weather :)
