Fear-conomy

Mel Gibson - Strike Three dude! WOW! To bad he is in one of my all time favorite movies "Signs". But - what a whack job he is! Allegedly hitting his wife while she is holding their baby? His newest 8 minute tirade over the phone is really quite scary. So long buddy!

Farmers Market is held behind the City Hall tonight (Wednesday) 3pm to 7pm (unless that big storm hits before 7pm).

SAGBRAAW is coming to Columbus July 31st. One of Wisconsin's largest bike adventures starts and ends in Columbus. Get your pasta ready as there will be up to 1000 people looking for pasta.  370 miles later they will return to Columbus.  I'm a little surprised there has not been more talk about this event - it's a pretty BIG deal with people from all over the world visiting Columbus.

The rides I have been on some towns have HUGE parties - Mullins Classic Drive in Fox Lake is having bands and Plymouth is having the ONLY German High School Band in the country greet riders. When else will we have 3000 people (riders and support units) from all over the country and world all in one place. in our town. AND they all want to spend and HAVE money!  Especially that first night - a lot of nervous energy.

Mishicot is rolling out the BIG red carpet for bikers from what I've been reading with the swimming pool being open (this is big for many riders - the chance to swim is a HUGE bonus).

Think about this for a minute - 3000 riders and support people all spend $25 on various Columbus stuff - that is $75,000.

Thanks to Craig for finding this.

The NL FINALLY won an All-Star game and while your Brewers sucked at the plate defensively Corey Hart and Ryan Braun were great in the outfield.

Here is a photo of Corey and . . . . a friend!

So I was forced to watch FOX NEWS a little yesterday and MAN - I have never seen so much hatred being broadcast as news.

 . . . . . I erased the rest of this post . . . .

I'm sorry - FOX NEWS just pisses me off to know end on their blatant half truths and hate spewing. I will take my pill now! :-)

On this day in history two Wild West gunslingers were found dead.

Billy the Kid was shot to death at Maxwell Ranch in New Mexico by Sheriff Pat Garrett in 1881 and in 1882 John Ringo was found dead in Turkey Creek Canyon, Arizona from an apparent self inflicted head wound.

In 1995 - the MP3 was born!!

Be careful out there today - it'll be windy and warm and humid with VERY strong storms coming on from the north west!
