Public Enemies Trailer!!

HERE IS THE TRAILER

Kurth Tonight!!!!

Here is last night's teaser if you missed it. TONIGHT is the real deal (unless THAT is a tease also).
==========================

=========================

There is one scene you can ALMOST see Scott and I. When they guy is holding the cops by his neck robbing a bank - we are on the OTHER side of the camera!! So close!!!! At the 20 second mark for 1/500th of a second.

There are rumors that there will be a reshoot for the movie poster because the two cars in the poster are from 1935!!!! OR - is this some sort of science fiction tale? What if Dillinger had lived? It is becoming so so confusing.

AND - I wonder how many stars are on those flags!!!!! 50? or 48! Who is in charge of continuity!

=========================

I was first chair cello in the Fort Atkinson Orchestra most of my school career and then I was in the Whitewater Youth Symphony and I had a small stay in the Wisconsin Youth Symphony but the music was always dull. Bring me the music of Shostakovitch and I would still be playing cello.

I mention this because I have seen a special on TV recently with Styx and the Contemporary Youth Orchestra of Cleveland and I was floored at how freaking good that concert was. I was looking for reviews and came across this.

"The Contemporary Youth Orchestra, or CYO, is a 115-piece orchestra and 60-voice chorus, made up entirely of teenagers ranging in age from 13-19. It was refreshing to see this group of kids, who were not even born yet when Styx was at the pinnacle of their career, play this music with the enthusiasm of lifelong fans. The show was one non-stop party with all of the kids dancing and singing between each of their parts, barely able to stay in their seats as they played, and constantly cheering on their orchestra mates and the band. Liza Grossman, who looks remarkably like Tony Soprano's sister Janice, was also into the performance like she had spent many a night partying to some Grand Illusion back in the day."

On a personal note it's in HD and the audio is outstanding. If you have a kid in orchestra and want to motivate him/her get this DVD. I would still be playing cello if I thought there was a chance I could be in something like this. Oh - a cello solo was outstanding! It's fun to see high fives during orchestral concerts.

Speaking of free advertising and shameless promotion.

I'm working on a new "blog" (but better) that will focus 100% on Columbus and how we can promote the town. What I need are people that want to write stuff (stuff is an official word of the Websters dictionary meaning - the tangible substance that goes into the make of a physical object - yea - THAT shows you how serious I am!!) .

It does not have to be pages but need only be an interesting paragraph about whatever you want as long as it is about Columbus and meets my stringent requirements. It must be NON-attacking (at least a non-angry attack, subliminal is fine).

I'm hoping to get high school writers involved with school "stuff" to get them involved with the town but when I contacted the high school last year about photographers it fell on deaf ears. Anybody have any contacts in the high school??? Do they learn how to write in schools anymore or are all assignments done with text messages? (it's been a while)

The new Columbus website will not look all bloggy like this site. More professional(well, maybe). The one thing I wonder is how will we get the word out??? The newspaper? Most people don't even know we have a newspaper (which is one of the reasons the Columbus Pioneer came to Columbus. After much research they found Columbus had no newspaper so . . . . .) How about dropping 15,000 fliers from a plane (or turkeys with notes attached at Thanksgiving?).

So I'm in the very beginning stages of logistics but need people to tell me they will help with content. At some point I'll accept advertising banners to cover costs of the site.

My toothness

I went to the dentist because I had chipped my bag cutting tooth (or my bottle opening tooth but we won't go into that, and while the doc was in that area he thought he would so a little fixing, augmenting and sharpening an so forth. One tooth is actually a little longer and one is pointier and things are smoothed out. Not a clue how he did it.

And did I mention FreeBeeGas is 100% SCAM? Only cost me $5 to find that out. Take a test drive and I got a coupon for $25 off in gas a month for every $100 in receipts I send in. Only catch was there was a one time $5 charge.

Well - Scam.com has 3000 people that plopped down $5 and got nothing for it.

Watchman.

talk about getting a LOT of press. Watchman is everywhere. Rated R one source says it is one of the harder R's this year with a LOT of "bone crunching bloodshed" Estimates are betwen 50 and 70 million - I'm thinking and hoping more.

  4. PE History Related - Yesterday was the 75th anniversary of Dillinger's escape from the Lake County Jail at Crown Point.

    On March 4, 1934 every newspaper in the country had Dillinger on the cover, and here we are waiting for the trailer exactly 75 years later. Kind of cool to think about.

  18. Love the way he says this:

    "I have absolutely nothin' I wanna do in Indiana" and
    "Let's play a little game Mr. President, called Spin the Dial"

    Hated the ways Marion says:
    "That's a serious thing to say to a girl you just met"

    I did like the beginning, upbeat, forboding music, but really, really liked the music toward the end that had just a touch of a twang to it.

    I can't wait.

  22. If you watch the movie frame by frame, there is this guy with white hair in the woods who rolls on the ground who kinda looks like Jerry.

    Is it him? Or am I mental?

    ReplyDelete
  23. Jenny,
    I believe you are right that looks like Jerry.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Jenny how do you watch frame by frame??

    read on imdb that the first song is Blow Wind Blow by the Rairbirds, last song is "ten million Slaves" by Otis Taylor (love the last song)

  28. If your watching it on apple.com and using the Quicktime player...

    Let it load, then when it starts playing press pause.

    Then on the right hand side there should be little right and left arrows and just use those to click through it. In slow mo :)

  29. Oh yeah, I hate the movie poster though. It seems too modern. Needs a older 1930's feel to it... I hope they come out with different versions.
