To Self: Don't NOT do what I say - DO what I say

I was complaining about going to bed last night.  I hate trying to sleep. During the day I can multi task and forget about my knee but at night laying there in the dark it's the only thing that has my attention and there is no way I can ever get comfortable.   I had not had anything NEAR a good nights sleep for a month.  Ibu, Tylenol, NyQuill nothing worked

So DJ say's "Have you tried my CBD oil?"  WHAT?  I had never thought of that.  DAAAAA!  Am I that stupid? (Don't answer that Clark).  So I took 10 drops before bed and

ZZZZZZZZZZZZ.  yea I rolled over a few times (cats and dog issues) but I was comfortable  OMG!!

************************

Meanwhile - there  was a post on the TGCTours forum where a guy was complaining about  the game saying basically that after 796 hours of play the game is garbage.

I gave POST OF THE DAY award to the second post

1. I can't believe it's taken you 796 hours to come to the conclusion the game is garbage. Any normal person would have come to that conclusion far sooner if that's how they feel about the game.

2. If you get mad at this game for shooting -13 one round and -3 the next, god help you if you ever played real golf.

This reminded me of a post DJ put on facebook which is SO SO true its sad AND funny

Q: How many people does it take to change a lightbulb in a Facebook group?

1 to change the light bulb and to post that the light bulb has been changed.

14 to share similar experiences of changing light bulbs and how the light bulb could have been changed differently.

7 to caution about the dangers of changing light bulbs.

17 purists who use candles and are offended by light bulb discussions.

6 to argue over whether it's 'lightbulb' or 'light bulb'.

Another 6 to condemn those 6 as stupid.

22 to tell THOSE 6 to stop being jackasses.

2 industry professionals to inform the group that the proper term is 'lamp'.

15 know-it-alls who claim they were in the industry, and that 'light bulb' is perfectly correct.

249 to post meme's and gif's (several are of someone eating popcorn with the words added, “I’m just here for the comments.”)

19 to post that this page is not about light bulbs and to please take this discussion to a light bulb page.

11 to defend the posting to this page saying that we all use light bulbs and therefore the posts are relevant here.

12 to post F.

8 to ask what F means.

16 to post 'Following' but there's 3 dots at the top right that means you don't have to.

3 to say "can't share"

2 to reply "can't share from a closed group"

36 People to post pics of their own light bulbs.

15 People to post "I can't see S$%^!" and use their own light bulbs.

6 to report the post or PM an admin because someone said "f÷×$"

4 to say "Didn't we go through this already a short time ago?".

13 to say "Do a search on light bulbs before posting questions about light bulbs".

1 to bring politics into the discussion by adding that (insert politician of choice) isn't the brightest bulb. This usually takes place within the first three comments.

50 more to get into personal attacks over their political views.

5 admins to ban the light bulb posters who took it all too seriously.

1 late arrival to comment on the original post 6 months later and start it all over again.

AND THAT my friends is facebook.

And then there is the city government. Has anybody noticed that in the past 6 years the roads in Columbus have been getting better and better and look what happened.  Now BECAUSE we have so many smooth roads ne're do wells have arrived and are robbing homes.  DAMN YOU GOOD ROADS!  Bad roads they would go elsewhere.

Yea yea - everybody wants Farmham (Hwy89) fixed because it a hellish street with holes everywhere.  I guarantee you when the city mistakenly fixes the road people will complain about speeders.  OH  IT'S TOO SMOOTH!!!

SURVIVOR  tonight.  Worst Big Brother I can think of this year.  Jackson who will probably win was a prick bully that cheated and his parents sued or are suing CBS for making him look like a dick (which is is).   The only hope is for a jury that is also pissed off.   Stupid game play for not breaking up a showmance which is THE NUMBER ONE RULE.  Never ever let a showmance go far.

Survivor season 39 starts tonight and is still the #1 non-scripted show which has had GREAT season lately.  Lots of changes. I have read that Survivor 40 will have a cast of all winners from the past.

Starting to fossilize

I don't know why a post from July was emailed out by blogger and I wish it had not - that issue has been resolved. so . . . stand down.

******

Another issue was cleared up last night.  As I try to be a more optimistic individual I found out I was blocked by a person when we had a disagreement about our City Attorney.

This person said some pretty hurtful things and I said I could not believe our City Attorney said these things and defended him.  Paul is one of my top 3 favorite attorneys and I really appreciated his presence and I was rather pissed off.

Now we find out that the person that HATES Columbus did not know we had a different City Attorney and the rabid hate was against the old City Attorney.  We PM'd each other and I explained that many many of the "old guard" are gone and Columbus actually has a government that thinks, discusses and has actual knowledge.  NOT the cronies that ran Columbus for decades.

I told this individual that I completely understood WHY people hate the Columbus government because of past indiscretions but it's changed dramatically in the past 6(?) years.   SADLY I know way way too many people that loath our government for things that happened 10+ years ago.  Not sure how to change that.

*********************

Moving along.   People take their health for granted and MAN, when it fails it is MUCH worse then you think.  Yea I have a minor (I hope) situation with my knee (MRI Monday) but because of my knee my entire leg muscles are sore and cramping and my shoulders hurt from trying to roll over in bed NOT using my legs (try it sometime).

TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF.  DO NOT TAKE YOUR HEALTH FOR GRANTED.   24 hour pain is a PAIN!  And it's just one knee that seems to be effecting my whole body as other parts step up,  and I was pretty darn healthy a month ago . . . I thought.  I can't wait for this to be over.

*********************

The Brewers have the tie breaker with Washington so a tie is a win.  St' Louis is still out there but they need to lose and the cubs have given up.

****************

Winning a lottery makes you MUCH happier.   There was a study done years and years ago that said winning a major lottery did NOT make you happier.  Yet it seems that the study was done with only 22 winners.

A newer, more scientific study was conducted in Germany and it found that winning a large lottery DID make you happier and in fact the more you won the happier you were.

Makes sense to me!

+++++

Packers opened as 3 point favs over Philadelphia and its up to -4.5 now  My Bridgejumper system is not on the game.  I started Bridgejumper in 2001 and is 394-254 for 60.9%  I've been told 60% is impossible in the NFL in the long run.  Well . . . . . .

Only one "C" game this week. "C" games win 57% if the time so it's not GREAT  The LAChargers should cover 16.5 over the Dolphs.  Not many plays in the 18 years when a very BAD team is a huge dog at home.   Normally when a team has been getting kicked and comes home as a big dog . . . they prove they really ARE bad.

++++++

Donald Trump now has the same approval rating as Obama did at the same time in Presidency.

That's enough for now - I need to stand up every 10 minutes of I start to fossilize.  As long as I keep moving I'm fine.

STRONG storms early Wednesday morning!   Take care

September is very good for The Crew

WOW - when will people start acknowledging Craig Councill is a genius when he has a large roster.

Every year (until next year) MLB expands rosters to 40 players and here are the last 2 seasons W/L totals for the Brewers

April 28-26
May 34-26
June 25-26
July 28-26
August 25-27
September 31-10

YIKES  - all of a sudden this year Councill has his bullpen locked and loaded. It took 5 months to realize last years diamonds all sucked (except for Hader) and now he has a new crew. Suter, Pomeranz, Black (100+ fast ball) Albers, Peralta, Claudio, Hader.

Now we have players coming back.   I remember the first week of August when announcers were saying "Lets get through August as September we start getting guys back).

Llast night Woodruff came back after 2 months off  with his first pitch hitting 97 mph, his 2nd pitch was 98 and a few pitches later he hit 99. A near perfect outing and the plan is to give him 15-20 more pitches next outing.  Since there is no minor league games he has to pitch his way in real games.  So far so good.

Hiura and his .938 OPS came back with a hit and while most people think he is horrible at 2B  NO - he's not.  Yea his arm draws the attention but unlike Moustakas he stops a lot of balls getting into the outfield.  I would say he is a major league average 2B.  Average range poor arm.  Moustakas no range good arm.

Meanwhile - The Cubs have their own injury issues now using their #3 SS. and a horrible last 11 games including 7 vs. the Cards and a 6 game road trip to end the season. The Cubs SUCK on the road  at 31-44.  The Cards play the Cubs 7 times and play 7 of their last 11 on the road where they have a losing record (36-38). Brewers end with 4 on the road vs. the Reds and Rockies.   What an amazing pennant race we have  this year  AGAIN!!!

Next year lost of new rules that seem to hurt the Brewers.  A pitcher HAS to face a minimum of 3 batters unless its the end of an inning.

The number of players on a team will increase to 26 for most of the season and 28 in September.  It will help during the season with the average starting in MLB now going 5.7 innings (slightly less surprisingly in the AL).  No more 10 day injury list as teams found a way to manipulate it as it will go to 15 days.

Wild Card fiasco

So - what happens if there is a three way tie for the Wild Card?  Teams are randomly given A B or C and A plays B and the winner is in the Wild Card,  then the loser plays C and the winner is in the Wild Card and then of course those two play for THE (not copyrighted) Wild Card.

++++++++++++++++

Funniest headline from Sunday

The Vikings really just did Vikings things to lose that one.

So the Vikings Diggs was robbed of a TD from a bogus call and then he is so pissed off his next TD he takes off his helmet to taunt the fans and because of that the Vikings lose another point from a missed Extra Point!  LOL

Then there is Eli Manning who the longer he plays the less chance he has of getting into the Hall of Fame (which he did not deserve anyway).  Eli is now 2-16 in the first half of the season since 2017.

********

Canopy Growth dropped in price when Canada did not sell as much weed as first thought but the problem was not the company but the government.  Now it's up 21% in the last couple weeks as calmer heads explained that MAYBE growing companies don't make a profit right away when they are still building farms and warehouses.

People expect to reap huge rewards out of the gate.

It seems the government of Ontario lost $42 million selling pot. HOW DOES THIS HAPPEN.  it's like a stable genius buying vibrant casinos and running them into the ground.  HOW DO YOU LOSE MONEY IN A CASINO!

Well - just like a company the front end costs were more the expected. While they sold $62 million in weed the up front start up cost was $106 million.

While nations are floundering because of cheap oil and gas Madagascar, one of the 10 poorest nations in the world has farmers getting extremely RICH because of vanilla.  In 2015 a kilo of vanilla was $50 and today it's $400 to $600 a kilo.  Storms which destroyed many acres and demand are stupendous and it's driving up prices, much to the delight of farmers.

+++++

A friend of mine got a turntable for his birthday which is REALLY cool as albums  are a thing now. Most people know that an album gives you much greater fidelity as analog is better then digital when it comes to music.   In fact vinyl sales are up 12.9% in the first half of 2019.

I have the very first Beatles albums when they came out - pretty worthless as EVERYBODY has them.

Hard cover books are up 6.9% and ebook sales are down 3.6%.

Speaking of ebooks - I have started book 4 of The Renegade series - most books ever from one series as I normally get bored but so far this space adventure is really a fun read.

And yea - the female star is always pissed off she has to wear skin tight suits.  A rousing adventure that never gets boring.

*****************

Expect temps near 80 for 4 more days and scattered thunderstorms starting Thursday lasting a week.  turning MUCH cooler late next week.

***************

I'll be nothing but skin and bones soon as I atrophy my way into fall.  Limping around, having DJ carry me down the stairs . . . . I call her Hodor now.   OK OK - not THAT bad.   In fact I think the swelling is the problem.  Drain my knee and I would be great!

I was limping around yesterday and thinking "why can I golf and mow the lawn a few days ago (and all summer) but now feel so bad and can literally barely walk.   So I took Gus for a walk around teh block which was first block was tough and all last night there was very little pain  (a 3 as opposed to a 5).

Nuff whining -  DON'T HELP HIM!!

YumYum Thai restaurant - freakishly good.

WOW - Sundays are NOT good days for my knee.  Seems the more I use it the better it feels although it swells up like a melon (no really it does - it's getting worse)  LOL If I did not have an appointment at Sports Medicine IN TWO WEEKS I would be going to urgent care.

But Sundays watching Packers, Brewers and so forth sitting on my butt I have ice and leg braces and hobbling around barely able to walk and make it up and down stairs.   CAN...I...MAKE...IT.

++++++++++++++++++

2.74 inches of rain in the last 7 days.  GOD, why are you crying so much . . . . . is it Donald?   YEA YEA - as Saudi Arabia's oil are cut in half and the US is gushing out it's emergency reserves, and we have no national Security Adviser because the Lying King is spending 30 tweets and a week defending himself about drawing a drawing a boob on NOAA weather charts and then getting into a tweet storm with Chrissy Teigen ( of which Teigen tweeted back  "LOL  What a pussy ass bitch").

And then John Legend tweeting "Imagine being president of a whole country and spending your Sunday night hate-watching MSNBC hoping somebody--ANYBODY--will praise you. Melania, please praise this man. He needs you."

All is well in America, the stable genius in in charge.

***************

Packers - THANK YOU DEFENSE - again.   So far The Packers have played the 17th best team in the league (Da Bears)  The 14th Best in the Vikings and next up is Denver #29.  Packers are currently #13. (combining last years efficiency ratings and prorating using this years games in a moving average).

Then the Brewers are teasing us.  Before the first Cubs series the Brewers had a 3% chance of making the playoffs.  Then they won the road Cub series 2-1, split with the best team in the AL 1-1 then took 3 out of 4 vs. the Cubs at home,  won 4 games on the road and then took 2 of 3 vs. the Cards.  YIKES   Winning 13 of the last 17 games.  remind anybody of LAST YEAR?

NOW the Cards play nothing but pennant contenders including 7 games against the Cubs,  The Brewers play nothing but bad teams and the Cubs play 7 against the Cards.  We need help from Cinci and Pittsburgh.

Brewers are now 30% to make the playoffs.

I TRIED to take an outstanding shot of the Full Moon they other night!  FAIL  The moon is so bright the less bright clouds never show up.  I THINK I can fix this but have to wait for moon/clouds to do their thing

As you can see - no clouds and they were SO outstanding.  The darker left side is from a cloud.

Taking a knee from hell

I think my knee pain is finally effecting my grumpiness (more grumpiness).  I have a appointment at Sports Medicine for what I believe is a torn medial meniscus that has been bothering me all summer.

I finally pulled the trigger to see if I need to be scope'd since I can no longer sleep comfortably.  ODDLY - the more I walk around the better it feels . . . sort of.   It's pretty swollen and clicks and farts when I bend it - never a welcoming sign.

ANYWAY - I just thought I would mention it.

MEANWHILE - The Brewers have caught the Cubs AGAIN gaining 5 games in 6 days and Cub fans must be shitting bricks.   I laugh!   Yelich being out hurts but get this - when Yelich starts the Brewers are 66-61  .519   When Yelich is not starting 10-7  .588.  Who needs him!!

MEANWHILE - my SOM team is in the September from hell going 2-11 so far. My last series I lost 2 games when I gave up 13 runs and only 4 of those were earned.

Get this - last night the other team had runners on 1st and 2nd with 2 out and I'm leading 4-0.  The #8 guy was at bat but he was a fill in with a .300 real average.  I HATE intentionally walking anybody but with the pitcher up I went for it.

The 3 "dice roll" was a 4-5 (4 & 2+3) which is a 4.6% of hitting and that 4-5 result was a single 1-5 SINGLE 6-20 OUT (on a 20 sided virtual dice).   Yea - 3 (THREE).  Is that a 1.1% chance?  . . . . and the flood gates opened especially when Yelich makes his 6th error of the year with the next batter.  5 runs score with 2 outs and I lose 5-4.

I have been injured when playing face to face when a thrown die hit the back of my hand my hand (craps dice are sharp).  I think my mouse almost went through the window LOL  YEA - I'M GRUMPY!! :-)

*****************

Columbus only received 0.14 inches of rain last night - the weather bubble seemed to be working.   Yesterday I was in the basement  getting brewing equipment together and decided about 4:30 to take Gus for a walk.

I first looked at the weather station to see just how horrid it was outside.

WHAT?????

SEVENTY DEGREES?   SERIOUSLY.  an hour before in was 84.  WTF?  a closer look revealed this!   16 degree difference between Columbus and Madison!

From Bob Dickey

The markets have a tendency to move in opposite directions of what the majority opinion may be, and the current strength in the stock market indexes is a case in point. The worries about a possible recession caused by the inverted yield curve or slowing economic growth seem to have peaked as of last week, and now this week has seen a more complacent mood develop as the stock market has risen more quietly after the period of higher volatility in the weeks before.

The potential volatility is still there, but the general strategy over the past two years of trimming weak stocks and holding the strong stocks during this overall range for that period is one that we think will continue to work going forward.

I was thinking of investing a little more in Canopy growth as it looks like it found a bottom and turned around but with the whole vaping thing going on I think I'll wait.  No hurry.

Expect a BUNCH of rain later today as that front wobbled north.  A few rain totals from CoCoRaHas

Columbus downtown - 82% Occupancy

WELL - Yelich going down makes me MUCH sadder then when Rodgers went down the last 2 years. sigh. Hurts in the real world AND my little fantasy world of Strat-o-Matic. I'll will feel this pain NEXT year also!

Its the same injury I sustained when we were building this house. DJ, I ( me?) and Kevin the builder were on the hill in early spring in the snow looking at the house and deciding we wanted another 10x10 deck. I slipped and fell on my knee on ice fracturing my knee cap.

As soon as I saw what happened to Yelich I knew he was done - been there , done that! sigh!

BTW - my SOM team is 2-10 this month - we shall not speak of this

********************

In the age of fake news and alternate facts I keep hearing that the Columbus downtown is empty. SO! I decided to actually find out and walked the 8 blocks that we have and here are some ACTUAL facts. I stopped in front of the police station and the very first thing that happens is a guy turns around and says "Are you Rod Melotte?" WELL - THAT IS NEVER GOOD if you are in front of a police station.

I contemplate my answer as it could be important for the rest of my life but he is with a beautiful woman who has a nice smile (he's not bad himself but ....) so I say . . . . "yes"?

"I read your blog all the time, we are vising from Austin Texas". Oh yea - that happens all the time. Seems they lived in Columbus during Public Enemies. ANYWAY - OH OH - he asked if I could see where people were from that read the blog. I had not looked for a while - Who the hell lives in Mountain view CA so so many visits - thank you . . . . I think. Is that you Michael Mann? ANYWAY!
Little Columbus WI USA ( for the readers in Dublin) has an 82% Occupancy Rate which might surprise some people - HOWEVER that number goes down to 67% if you count 10 retail establishments which include 4 Antique stores that were closed at 2:00 on Tuesday. People complain we have too many antique stores (5) when only ONE is actually open. To many CLOSED antique stores. I would argue that it is better to have a closed antique store with full windows that is still paying taxes then an empty building. Columbus has 7 Hair/Beauty establishments downtown so at least we are lookin' good. We have 7 businesses that deal with insurance/wealth/land. 5 places to eat including Pizza/ Thai and Chinese So lets stop the talk of an "empty" downtown. The city has very few things at it's disposal that can draw a business to open stores except making sure the downtown is clean and inviting and friendly to pedestrians. Trees, banners, hanging baskets of flowers does not seem to be much but it shows that we care. *********************

Brewers oddities from 4 days ago!! yea yea a little late. Check this out. After last Fridays game the Brewers were

5-5 the last 10
10-10 the last 20
15-15 the last 30
20-20 the last 40
25-25 the last 50
and 30-30 the last 60

Statistically Lorenzo Cain took over the most unluckiest player in baseball. Last year Braun hit the most

Anybody watch Young Sheldon? The FCC fined the show $272,000 for a fake tornado warning! The FCC gets pretty ticked off on such things! Jimmy Kimmel was fined $395,000 over an emergency tone last month. And don't get me started on Trump drawing a boob on Hurricane Dorian. The guy only has one thing on his mind it seems.

Side note - why is it that according to The Mad King we now have the greatest economy EVER (we don't) so let's lower interest rates to ZERO! Does that even make sense? ummmm no.

Japan is the #3 golfing country in the world behind America and Canada.  In 1992 there were 14.7 million rounds of golf in Japan, last year 6.7 million.

In 2002 there where 2,460 courses and in 2017, 2,257.  Most of the use to be golf courses were converted into solar farms which is the worst place to hit a golf ball.

The good news is golf is cheaper and you can actually golf without needing 3 friends to go with you.

Bears lose Bears lose but did the Packers win?

Couple things about The Game last night.

1. I placed a $10 bet on The Packers to cover +3, reason was with SO MANY people betting Da Bears - like EVERYBODY I knew and the line was not moving.  So - if 75% of the bets goign into the books were on Da Bears why is the line not moving with everybody betting Bears?  Because the big smart money was on the Packers.   BOOYA!

2.  A tweet. -  3rd and 40 is what happens when you forget to press pause on Madden and u get 8 delay of game penalties when ur mom makes u take the garbage out

3.  anybody catch the hot mic moment of the game?  "“I never had my butt fingered”.  LOL  it was on one of the Packer punts!

https://deadspin.com/person-caught-saying-i-never-had-my-butt-fingered-on-1837917398

4. It's been really fun reading the Tribune this morning.

5. Packers at the moment have the #1 defense in the league.

6. Dan Patrick, Thursday morning, said The Packers would win the division. One down, 15 to go.

7. Ratings for the game were way way up +15% from last years Eagles/Falcons game. In fact one of the highest rated opening games in a long time. WEIRD.  I was expecting the opposite.

7. The Brewers . . . . . . .

*********************

We have our final golf outing golf for league this weekend with a new rule.

And yea -  we are suppose to have intermittent showers this weekend starting Sunday and continuing through  . . . .well . . . . .all week.

And if you want to talk about a great company doing bad things.  HB studios who created The Golf Club the #1 virtual golf game/sim deleted all instances of Augusta and Magnolia which is bad enough but they did it overnight a couple weeks ago and have not said one word on why (we all know why) or even acknowledged it happened PLUS they delete every post in their forum that speaks of it.

Then there is vaping.  Nobody who has done ANY research is really surprised.  The weed forums have been talking about this for years and Organic cannabis shops advertise their vape oils do not contain the cutting agents typically used in most places because of the dangers.

You get what you pay for.  I tried vaping in Denver - it was OK but it really felt like you are inhaling oil and fat into my lungs.

********************

Brexit - you think America is FUBR in politics?   Well - the Donald Trump of the UK is having issues and is forcing a election after his bid to get the UK out of teh European Union.  WHAT?  What kind of an election I asked?

IT SEEMS -    In the British parliamentary system, the Prime Minister can call a general election for Parliament if he gets two-thirds of the members of Parliament to agree. This is in addition to the regularly scheduled, every-five-years elections. This only happens with the PM believes he has lost the confidence of his own party.

Some PMs will just step down, and allow someone else to become PM. But in many cases, the PM argues that it's the public which has lost confidence in the party. Holding a snap election is the only way to ensure that the public still supports the party-in-power. That's what Johnson wants. The Tories (conservatives) alone don't have the votes to call a snap election. The Tories need the support of Labour (center/left) and/or the Liberal Democrats, and neither party says it wants a snap election.

This is like if the American Senate decided it did not like Trump and they could just dump him and put someone of their choice into office (but would need a 2/3 vote).

Remember - in the UK you vote for a party and the party decides who will be the "President".

Impossible Burgers

I can't see why seemingly intelligent people put so much stock in the Old Farmers Almanac when it comes to weather.  Why not use the National Enquirer which LITERALLY would have a better track record if they just flipped coins.

In the last 11 months for the Midwest The Farmers Almanac has been correct 3 of the last 11 months on predicting temps.  And precipitation?   2 of the last 11 have been correct AND they are vague about it.  They can't even be good being vague!

YET - NOAA who are freakishly good get a bad rap because when they say a storm will hit at 11:00 2 days from now and it's 4 hours off - WRONG!!!

NOTICE - NOAA Saturday said storms Tuesday morning - BAM - storms Tuesday morning yet - people say they are horrible.  YEA - and the boys basketball tournament also has snow EVERY YEAR.

AND THEN you have the Lying King mansplaining hurricanes to the American Public and saying he has never heard of a Cat 5 Hurricane before even though it's the 4th one since he has been president, I guess he was not paying attention.

And I will not speak of his repeating THREE TIMES, even after NOAA corrected him - NO HURRICANE IN ALABAMA - but then he called NOAA Phony news so . . . what can you do.

The guy is losing it.  More.

This image will blow your MIND if you look at it long enough.  In fact I need to go downtown to see what I took. That big black roof is screwing with my head . . and HOW MANY street signs do we need!

But I do LOVE the hanging flowers and Welcome to Columbus.  Well done Beautification Committee.

So - DJ and I tried the Impossible (no meat) Burger.  Let me first say I'm not a huge fan of the Whopper to begin with.  I love Whopper Juniors but not Whoppers. BUT, I had to try one anyway.

WELL - I didn't die.  Yea - It was "OK".  Sort of dry and meat-like with it's soy and potato protean with Coconut and sunflower oil and other  . . . .stuff.  And yea - 60 calories less and less fat, zero cholesterol. less protean and a SHIT LOAD of salt. A LOT of salt 370mg.

Not healthier but better for the environment (they say) so if you are a REAL tree hugger an Impossible Burger is for you.  Maybe I'll try one the next White Castle I come across.  Little Caesars is using t in their sausage.

Bottom line - not a fan.  Move on.

Gotta laugh at the UK.  Someone made a comment on what the UK thought about Americas political buffoonish.    HA - they could care less.  They have MUCH more problems then America. They have Brexit!  What if we all of a sudden had not 50 states but 50 countries that all had to triple the size of their own functioning government with trade deals in one month OR - no commerce could cross state lines.

LOL

What if Trump is SO bad the DNC wins control of the Senate (it is now in the cone of uncertainty and the realm of possibility) AND the White House AND keep the House.

Pre-season football is over.  In the last 12 games in Preseason Rodgers has thrown 22 passes including ZERO this year.

Last night's moon.

Sunday night we finished Season 3 of Game of Thrones and it was hilarious because I knew when the Red Wedding was and DJ did not.     WHAT?   WHAT?  WHAT?   OMG!! NOOOOO!!

A few REALLY weird things in MLB.

Houston has issue ZERO intentional walks this year. ZIP, Nada, none.

The LA Angels will not have ONE pitcher with 100 innings pitched.  SERIOUSLY?  Yup

Juan Soto (Washington) has 30 HR and is 20 years old. The first to do this since Mike Trout in 2012

Major League Save percentage is 63.01% this year third lowest since 1901 and MLB bullpens have the 9th highest ERA at 4.50 and highest since 2000 (4.58).

Bryan Reynolds has a .413 avg of balls he has made contact with (BABIP) this year.  Only Ruth, Sisler, Hornsby, Cobb and Heilmann have ever had a higher BABIP

The #8 hitter in a lineup for all MLB have hit 499 Homeruns. This is what the #4 hitter hit in 1971.

BUT I KNOW I KNOW - less teams right?  The #8 hitter hit a HR every 28.85 at bats so far in 2019.  In 1974 the clean-up hitter hit a HR every 30.97 ABs

Cody Bellinger's 44 home runs have come against 44 different pitchers

Yimi Garcia has given up 14 HRs and only 11 singles while Josh Hader has given up 14 HRs and 14 singles.

There are always contests in The Golf Club 19 for golf course design. And a designer who many are saying is the best out there has a new one that is delicious.

Just a beautiful second shot on the 17th hole.

Getting plumbers in next Monday to assess our downstairs plumbing issues where the builder put in sewer pipes slanting the wrong way.  Gotta get that fixed SOMETIME so might as well get an estimate. GULP.
