Taking a knee from hell

I think my knee pain is finally effecting my grumpiness (more grumpiness).  I have a appointment at Sports Medicine for what I believe is a torn medial meniscus that has been bothering me all summer.

I finally pulled the trigger to see if I need to be scope'd since I can no longer sleep comfortably.  ODDLY - the more I walk around the better it feels . . . sort of.   It's pretty swollen and clicks and farts when I bend it - never a welcoming sign.

ANYWAY - I just thought I would mention it.

MEANWHILE - The Brewers have caught the Cubs AGAIN gaining 5 games in 6 days and Cub fans must be shitting bricks.   I laugh!   Yelich being out hurts but get this - when Yelich starts the Brewers are 66-61  .519   When Yelich is not starting 10-7  .588.  Who needs him!!

MEANWHILE - my SOM team is in the September from hell going 2-11 so far. My last series I lost 2 games when I gave up 13 runs and only 4 of those were earned.

Get this - last night the other team had runners on 1st and 2nd with 2 out and I'm leading 4-0.  The #8 guy was at bat but he was a fill in with a .300 real average.  I HATE intentionally walking anybody but with the pitcher up I went for it.

The 3 "dice roll" was a 4-5 (4 & 2+3) which is a 4.6% of hitting and that 4-5 result was a single 1-5 SINGLE 6-20 OUT (on a 20 sided virtual dice).   Yea - 3 (THREE).  Is that a 1.1% chance?  . . . . and the flood gates opened especially when Yelich makes his 6th error of the year with the next batter.  5 runs score with 2 outs and I lose 5-4.

I have been injured when playing face to face when a thrown die hit the back of my hand my hand (craps dice are sharp).  I think my mouse almost went through the window LOL  YEA - I'M GRUMPY!! :-)

Columbus only received 0.14 inches of rain last night - the weather bubble seemed to be working.   Yesterday I was in the basement  getting brewing equipment together and decided about 4:30 to take Gus for a walk.

I first looked at the weather station to see just how horrid it was outside.

WHAT?????

SEVENTY DEGREES?   SERIOUSLY.  an hour before in was 84.  WTF?  a closer look revealed this!   16 degree difference between Columbus and Madison!

From Bob Dickey

The markets have a tendency to move in opposite directions of what the majority opinion may be, and the current strength in the stock market indexes is a case in point. The worries about a possible recession caused by the inverted yield curve or slowing economic growth seem to have peaked as of last week, and now this week has seen a more complacent mood develop as the stock market has risen more quietly after the period of higher volatility in the weeks before.

The potential volatility is still there, but the general strategy over the past two years of trimming weak stocks and holding the strong stocks during this overall range for that period is one that we think will continue to work going forward.

I was thinking of investing a little more in Canopy growth as it looks like it found a bottom and turned around but with the whole vaping thing going on I think I'll wait.  No hurry.

*******

Expect a BUNCH of rain later today as that front wobbled north.  A few rain totals from CoCoRaHas
