.
I think I'm having one of those writers cramps weeks. Maybe it's because Public Enemies came out and I'm just sort of regrouping.
I sit down and . . . I got nothin.
OK OK there is golf.
I witnessed my first Eagle last night. Adubya and I were in a foursome in league at Door Creek and while I was scrambling around in the underbrush with the mosquitoes, hitting under and around trees and just getting the whole experience of golf, Adubya was popping in a 120ish yard pitching wedge straight into the hole for a TWO.
I had two opportunities with my new sand wedge and both results were in the "at least I'm out" category. One was out my 4 feet and ALMOST on the green, and the second was way way way down in this deep deep deep HUGE trap and I "really got a hold of it" type sand shot that flew over the green majestically to the other side. "I'M OUT". 2 for 2 baby!!
In other golf news I have officially abandoned my drive. It is now not only uncomfortable but the results are random and frankly . . . embarrassing. I'll have to find another way to flatten my swing as my instructor told me 2 years ago.
I also broke my putter from overuse last night!! Just too many putts and it sort of committed suicide. It was not a good putter for Door Creek though with Doors slick undulating greens.
The dead putter was better suited for Nine Springs postage stamp slow greens or Yahara's 150 foot greens. I need something with more feel.

So - you guys ever been inside of the Farmers & Merchant Union Bank in Columbus? I was surprised when I walked in . . . . . but . . . as luck would have it those photos are not in the disk that I have with me! CRAP
Well - here is ONE photo of the F & M.
The bank was designed by Louis Sullivan who is known as the Father of the Skyscraper (man - there has to be a joke in there somewhere, like George Washington the father of our country - he was a proud man!).
Sullivan's last work of art was the Columbus bank and he called it his "jewel box".
Note - do NOT look up the word erection in Wikipedia at work - I was hoping for a Dictionary definition but got something totally different.
I'll have more on the bank later once I fill out these papers that are now going on my permanent record!

I TOLD YOU NOT TOO LOOK!!!

Main Street Organization continues to grow with the addition of another member - and just a reminder, meeting tonight!!
That's it - I have too many other things going on!
WAIT!!
Speaking of the Carnival which I have to take photos of.
Jeopardy Question.
The Answer is . . . .Cream Puffs
The question is. What is Rods biggest phobia?
Yea - my parents took me to the State Fair once and I had a cream puff. I must have been like 6 or something. I took a bite and the powered sugar went up my nose and I sneezed all over with the puff splattered everywhere.
I remember all the grownups pointing and laughing at me.
I have not been to the State Fair since and I turned to a life of crime shorty afterword.

Farmer's and Merchants is an amazing building! I send people over there all the time from the Visitor Center. If they have time, one of the women working there will give you a tour upstairs- they have a small museum of interesting things related to the bank and building-very cool!
