Brand new poles, no Christmas light committee, a missing DPW director (it seems) who would put them up and since we could not even get bike racks downtown what are the chances.
Of course then he got all pissy and said I have done nothing for Columbus and spend all day getting high which . . . . would be nice, but not a reality at all. (I'm pro decriminalizing cannabis but still on the fence on legalization). I would rather close EVERY bar in Columbus.
Heck - I'm more miffed at having the holiday parade NOT downtown. I think THAT is a crime and would have voted 100% against THAT! Want to boost downtown? get people down there, not AWAY from downtown.
I actually agree with MANY of the complaints Davin has but life is way way too short to be angry. I guess he has never had cancer and does not understand how short life can be ALL OF A SUDDEN. Enjoy what you have because it can go away so so quick. Move on. Do what you can and move on.

Meanwhile - Anybody watch Outlander? We watched The Spy Who Dumped Me last night - a campy dumb-ass comedy that was pretty darn funny IF you appreciate Kate McKinnon's outlandish over the top personality and appreciate Jamie's (Outlander) good looks, you will like this movie.

We loved it. BUT it's perhaps not for children. Some adult violence - not gory but it's there. A large body count.

It's funny too because not really anybody was privy to the fact that there was going to be no Christmas lights or Decor downtown this year. Since you said you could have guaranteed it perhaps you should have stepped in. That's what people who criticize other people and the way they do things never do however

ReplyDeleteYou seem to think I hate you - no - I WISH more people had your enthusiasm for Columbus. You could do SO much good for this town but your anger gets in the way. Be calm, be happy, anger is a black cloud and is your enemy. I fight it daily. Life is REALLY way too short for anger.
