Analogue music is SO much better than digital

So many things happening in the world  . . too much to talk about.    

I see I had a blog 2/3s of the way done but never published it.  More on that later.  BUT FIRST!

Nothing beats the sound of analog music. PERIOD!  For DJs 60th birthday I got her a turntable.  When talking to her a while ago about senses she said if there was a choice she would take hearing over eyesight because she could not live without music. 

Like me she had a huge record collection but somebody else got those in the past SO - I did some research on "inexpensive" turntables.  Nothing that would make an audiophile flip out but a  good starting point (now I need an actual turntable for the the basement) . 

WELL - as a present Jenny got her a bunch of the albums she used to have and the first one to play was Cat Stevens. 

She literally had tears in her eyes, the sound was so amazing.  

I have always said streaming music sucks and I stand by that.  When Pandora says "CD Quality"  ummm  NO! NOT CLOSE. But then CD quality is not THAT good when compared to "album quality" 

It's just like the difference between analog film photos and digital photos.  Digital is restrictive in the number of colors you can create or the number of sounds you can recreate on an album

We put on Cat Stevens and O M G!  What a difference . . and I have a pretty darn good audio system in the basement.

Remember my issue with 5Dimes Sports book?  WELL - I'm a BitCoin guy now . . . in theory.

I could not get $70 out of 5Dimes who are closing for Americans unless I did BitCoin (free) or Money Gram ($50 IF you can get a hold of anybody). 

I said screw it.  I ain't cashing out $70 with a $50 fee. So the Packers were playing the Vikings - I put all $70 on the Packers to win at +125ish.  

I WON - BUT wait.  The Packers play Detroit next - LET IT ROLL.  Put $170 (I had to cancel my Biden bets that would have won) on the Packers to beat Detroit - I WIN!!  

So now I have about $350 and called to cash out and was on hold for 1 1/2 hours and when I did talk to someone they said the time slot had closed and try again tomorrow  OR "BitCoin was a better choice".   
SO - I did research and figured out how to do bitcoin through Coinbase that is like a bank for the 25 other cryptocurrencies.  

I cashed out and am now waiting for the BitCoin to hit my Coinbase account and then IMMEDIATELY transfer it to by ACTUAL bank.

and speaking of money - sigh.    Seems Trump has $400 million in personal loans to Russian oligarchs that are coming due in a few years plus he owes the IRS $100 million.

The guy has not paid REAL taxes in a decade.  He wrote off $175,000 in HAIRCUTS LAST YEAR for Ivanka and himself.   It's seems to be how republicans do things. 

I remember a failed Columbus businessman telling me that if you did not have multiple lawsuits you were not a good businessman and if you figured out the loopholes it was a sign if intelligence - Cheating is how you get ahead.  Do all republicans follow the Trump doctrine?   

Sort of like Trump's money laundering scheme in 2015.  Buy a house for $35 million unseen, never even visit the house and then sell it to a Russian oligarch who buys it unseen for $125 million.  YEA - nothing shady there!   Nice Profit Donald!. 

YET - his Republican cult believe cheating is OK.   He will be in jail within 3 years of losing the election

        Meanwhile - there is a massive need for facemasks in hospitals which the Fed continue to ignore. NOT MY PROBLEM says Trump.

Before Covid a paper mask was used once per patient.  See someone contagious and you toss it.  NOW - paper masks are once per day or until the moist breath dissolves it.   The N95s that were a one pre day is now one per WEEK!  

YEA- who cares if health care workers get sick as long as we can buy more guns for the military to keep REAL Americans safe right?

My knee.  About a year ago I was in a bad way health wise.  PMR (Polymyalgia rheumatica ) which I had never heard of before, AND, a knee that kept me awake for 72 straight hours. 

NOW?  I'm down to 1.5mgs of prednisone (started at 5mg) and I started taking Glucosamine a few months ago and even stopped my knee pain charts on excel because   . . . . zero pain.  OH it hurts on longer walks and I limp a tiny bit but it's really a none issue for the most part.

I found out a friend also plays PGA2K21 - how awesome.  I came in 37th out of 475 on the Beer League Tour last week and I run my own society (like a small tour where I choose the courses and events) with 19 members.   It's an obsession where I finally have the clubs I wanted, the more you play the more "cash" you gain for buying clubs who all have different characteristics.

Wedges are just forgiving wedges.  

Breaking par is still a victory for me in Professional settings.  

PGA2K21 is an awesome golf game/sim and I swear it has helped my real life putting on reading greens

COME ON McDonalds

A few weeks ago Elweed and  I went to McDonalds for a Big Breakfast TO GO since you can't go into the place.  I ordered extra salt and when we got our Big Breakfasts they included ONE EXTRA SALT!  

COME ON MAN!!  When you ask for more ketchup you get 15 packets but  SALT?   you get ONE!  And this was for two Big Breakfasts. 

 So this morning I have to take Gus to the Vet for a yearly thing and they are doing a slurry on a connecting street so it might be problematic getting back (it was).

SO - I stall and go to McDonalds for a Big Breakfast and ask for extra salt.  You have eggs that need salt and "hash browns" that need salt, two things!  I get extra salt and pepper . . . . but ZERO butter!  sigh and the "eggs" are horrific!  Dry and in tiny little pea size nuggets. I needed a SPOON (not included).

SO - 5Dimes Sportsbook.  My wagers on Biden winning the election at +350?  . . . .canceled!  F*CK YOU!  and the $70 I had in there that I could take out in the form of a BitCoin (F*CK YOU) I found out that for $25 they will write a check.  So Elweed and I talked about the Video Poker thing and decided the best route to get my money out was NOT video Poker (who knew!) so instead I bet the farm on The Packers beating the Vikings outright at +125.

That worked!

  Big Brother this season.  They got the best players to be in this season (who wanted to return).

Seriously some VERY good players.  They put all into quarantine for 3 weeks before entering the Big Brother house.  It's been fascinating but they are finding out the problem is they are all friends now.  This pure strategy game, the best pure strategy game on TV, it seems it's easier playing against strangers then friends. 

Everybody has families now and a few of them have married and created Big Brother families. 

Christmas (far right) gave up her child's 1st birthday to compete.  The last time she was on another contestant lifted her up playfully and accidently dropped her breaking her ankle which is not good for a professional crossfit competitor. 

She was playing the game and another contestant, who happened to be black, told her that no matter WHAT she would never ever vote for this other woman.  WELL - the one basic rule is to NEVER EVER allow a "couple" to stay in a reality competition.  They get 2 votes and not one if they ALWAYS will vote the same. 

WELL - Christmas  wins Head of Household which means she nominates 2 people of which one will be voted out!   CHAOS ensues as the other girl brings up race card and is FURIOUS that a black woman is being put on the block.  Christmas is saying "this is PURE GAME STRATEGY,  I didn't come here for 4 months to play nice, I'm here to win! I didn't miss my child's 1st birthday to go on vacation!  I'm here for $500,000".

PGA2K21 

The New TGCTours will start Oct 4th and it's getting real.  2 weeks of Q-school qualifying which I do not believe I will pass as it's in MASTER difficulty and I'm still happy with par on Pro difficulty.

People online are complaining because it's "too hard" to hit a straight drive - WELL YEA - this is like REAl golf.   I played a new course this weekend which was rather challanging.  

See that circle on the bottom right?  There is a vertical line which is your swing plane. You have to move the analog stick (PS4) back and forward to swing and you need to do it straight. 

This is PRO difficulty, in Master that white line is half that size.  The half circle above it is distance which is typically fast for me.  However since I tend to go to the right AND swing fast it's been counteracting each other . . . until it doesn't just like real golf.  And I will not speak of putting.  I WILL swear (and many others swear by this also when I brought it up) that this SIM has really helped me read greens.  Sadly my body has not responded to this.

Then there is what happened at the St. Louis Zoo.  A 62 year old python that has been in isolation for over 20 years  . . . . . laid 7 eggs.   The oldest snake in captivity to EVER lay an egg.  Which seems to be not the BIG thing. . . . . . who knows . . . nobody it seems.

Got an URGENT message from one of my sports books saying ALL Americans need to remove their funds before Sept 25th as they are closing to Americans because of our government.  5Dimes - what I always considered one of the better sports books.

SADLY it was the book that I ALWAYS lost in.  OH  Bovada I won and 5Dimes I lost.  Here is the kicker.  I only had $70 in 5Dimes and if you have LESS than $1000 you will be paid out in BITCOIN. 

WHAT?  Yea - the only option. WELL! SO - Elweed and I am going to turn that $70 into $1000 this weekend, or lose it all.  HOW you ask?  A system  :-)  

OR - for $50 you can cash out with a check.  hmmmmmm

Rain Man (Elweed) has been playing with a video poker system for years that can't be duplicated in a casino BUT - with the right poker machines CAN be duplicated online.  You say that sounds REALLY stupid right?  

OK - it is but he has run 10s of thousands of iterations and half the time he busts and the other half  he has made thousands of dollars.  The key is having the ability to play $0.01,$0.05,$0.10,$0.25, $1, $2 and $5 machines.  Can't find that in a casino.  I think this is called a reverse Labouchère system which at the moment I don't want to go into as it gives me a headache.

The downside is we could lose EVERYTHING ($70) in 10 minutes or less but the upside is stupendous. 

Check back Monday (vet appointment so maybe later?)   He got over $200,000 on one run using virtual machines where you could play 1,5,10,25, $1, $2 and $5.

I did place a small wager on the Packers - WHY?  I feel offenses will have an upper hand in the beginning of the seasons as Defense is more of a team game and with Minnesota losing 5 defense starters I think the Packers can over -2.5 points.  

Otherwise the NFL is a complete unknown

I just do not understand how Christians can support Trump.  Trump has been to church 4 times in 3.8 years. Biden EVERY Sunday . . .which one believes in God?

Moving day

Not for me but for some sketchy neighbors that I have never really trusted.  In fact I've often wanted to talk to SOMEBODY about those guys and the constant weirdness from children you NEVER see outside playing but you know they are home to planting a tree with a 6 foot hole after midnight when everybody was sleeping (who digs a 6 foot hole for a tree).  Shades are pulled on every windsor 24/7.  A son you NEVER see unless he is mowing the lawn for 2 hours.

And now two HUGE moving semis (two?) and when asked where they are moving a vague confusing answer to "up north" and let's not forget every time I talked to the wife (who has been missing for a year) the husband would immediately come up and conversation would stop.  She as never outside unless he was there also. 

So many other oddities that just put a huge "?" above my head.   Of course the house is not for sale so I suspect our property value will go down.  So much for our assessment going up 41K LOL 

I would mention these things and people would laugh and say I was a conspiracy dude but man!   8 years of "see something say something" in my brain.

I was in pic n save a few days ago and had my mask on and a guy ahead of me, a fine looking chap was not wearing one.  I immediately hated every fibre of his being along with his family and any close relatives he might have had.  I got my shopping done and whet to get in line standing 6 feet away from the next person  and I was sort of blocking his way.  

I apologize and he said in a very nice way "no problem" and then I noticed he had 3 masks he was buying.    OK OK - I was wrong about you. DAMN IT.  

HOWEVER - in Walgreens today there was a family of 6 with the father wearing a MAGA hat and the kids were all running around the store (10 to 16 years old) with zero masks on at all . . . .I hated them also. 

I can't even drive down red neck lane ( also called Avalon) as there seem to be 30 Trump signs.  One house last year had multiple LOCK HER UP SIGNS.  sigh.         

MEANWHILE there is a new look "blogger" I have to deal with COME ONE MAN!!  First facebook and now blogger - Change for the sake of change SUCKS

Geez - I've been busy in the mornings lately

Last night I got into it with the leader of the Republican Party in Columbus and his faithful sidekick a failed businessman.  They were telling me that only 9000 deaths and NOT 180,000 deaths are do to Covid19.

I said if you believe that I have a grocery store you can buy . . . and then the original post was deleted.  The problem is the CDC came out with a misleading stat that the tea ballers and karens twisted even more.

The PROBLEM is that 6% of death certificates ONLY list Covid and nothing else.  The other 171,000 all have what Covid caused,   like respiratory failure and cardiac arrest.  Of course the Trump clan and karens who follow any damn conspiracy are freaking out about losing and are desperate and they twisted that into saying only 6% were caused by Covid.   Covid is a liberal hoax to bring down the acting President
