Remember when I first put the count down up and it was something like 370? Graham Man came down to Madison a few days ago and we had lunch. It had been over a year since I had seen him. A YEAR!! Wow - where does the time go???

Sounds like a new trailer will be coming out in the near future and Michael Mann continues to tweak the movie.

I know we're all excited about the coming winter storm. Not a big deal. We will be back in the 50's by Wednesday. I don't like the cold, the snow will go away. I expect an inch Saturday night and another 2-3 inches Sunday.
Speaking of weather - This last March was the wettest March EVER for Columbus. My gauge had 6.03 inches of water which is triple the average (who knew March was a drier month). And thinking of ground water - I wonder when we had the WORM day last year. Is it still coming up? I'll have to look back at the blog. Remember that morning when every inch of pavement was worms??? It was spring.
(10 minutes later)
OK - just looked - it was around April 25th I can't wait. The Robins can not wait either. And Blake can't wait - there is nothing more yummy then crispy worms on a walk!!

And since I have nothing to say I was looking at PECOTA ratings of some of the Brewers. PECOTA takes a player and out of the hundreds of thousands players in baseball history try's to find other players like him at this point in their career. It works out pretty creepy good a lot of the time.
Rickie Weeks is due for a break out year. Other players like him had good years (hitting .266). J J Hardy might have seen his best year of his career last year. This should be Brauns BIG year. Bigger then Fielder who is due to hit 32 HR's, in fact it says he could have 39 TOPS! Weird. Corey Hart will have a MUCH better year.
It seems the Brewers are looking at a small down year compared to last year BUT - IF the Gods are good to them they could have a very very GOOD year. The Offense should better but it's all on the Pitching.
The one thing that PECOTA does very very well at is predicting teams W/L. It predicts 84 wins for the Brewers , 1 game ahead of the Cards adn 4 games ahead of the Reds. Cubs will win 95.

Has anybody seen Carrot Top lately? You know - that dweeby guy with the orange hair? DUDE - step away from the steroids. The guy is no long a goofy comedian. He is more like a Crusty the Clown creepy guy with bulging muscles that are a little too bulgy.
So much for me making jokes using HIM.

It's getting close to golf season - check out this par three in Africa - only 633 yards but 1,400 feet DOWN. It's a 19 hole course that costs you $220 to play BUT - you get a helicopter ride up the the 19th hole tee area.
lllllllllll
this is the 2nd article Ive seen lately on Movie Location Tours - thanks LHL
Columbus is going to have a fun year!
Also - check out this life saving grab from a Brewer game this week. Little Miss Bikini almost had a new bruise.
NICE catch.
enough random drivel - it's just not happening today. The words are lacking cohesion.

ReplyDelete#28: Wisconsin State Capitol Collapses
1933: The Madison Capital-Times solemnly announced that the Wisconsin state capitol building lay in ruins following a series of mysterious explosions. The explosions were attributed to "large quantities of gas, generated through many weeks of verbose debate in the Senate and Assembly chambers." Accompanying the article was a picture showing the capitol building collapsing. Many readers were fooled—and outraged. One reader wrote in declaring the hoax "was not only tactless and void of humor, but also a hideous jest." Nevertheless, in 1985 The Science Digest named this as one of the best hoaxes ever.
