PE DAY + ZERO

HMMMMM - this seams rather redundant posting this COPY of ) days. I thought it was a good idea 5 minutes after I woke up.

Perhaps I better wait until I have some coffee in me.

========================

PIZZA SHAK - never fear. Seems there was a difference of opinion and a couple of owners took their toys and ran off leaving the SANE owner all by himself. The note on the door said Closed until further notice due to maintenance and repair which is a politically correct way of saying THEY TOOK ALL MY DAMN STUFF.

HOWEVER - I was contacted by the remaining owner saying that he no longer has a sellers license but will stand by his agreement to donate pizza and SHOULD be opening up again in less then a week.

So not only does he have to close business for a week but he ALSO has to give away a bunch of Pizza - bad week.

We're going to help him out as much as we can as this tells be he is a stand up guy and the world needs more of them.
========================

Well - half the world (well - the crazy people that saw the midnight showing) have seen PE and it seems it is getting good reviews. Netflix which is right on with telling me what I'll like has 4.2 out of 5 stars for ME.

From one reviewers "Two words could sum this film up...Outstanding Entertainment." . . . . . .The film is enthralling to the last scenes, filmed at the actual location of the last Dillenger/FBI shootout. This is a story that has been filmed at least three times if not more, but this one is definitely the charm. The opening scenes are jaw dropping and the pace never lets up...

YEA - WELL - WE SHALL SEE WON'T WE.

REMEMBER 7:15 tonight. Have some fun tonight!!!!!
==========================

On a personal note - the day after my mug shot is posted on every newspaper in Wisconsin (that I have seen - results may very) my Facebook account has been disabled do to malicious shanagans. WTF. I'm innocent . . .really!!

DO THEY KNOW WHO I AM?

OH - first Wednesday of the month - THIS IS A TEST of the EMERGENCY ALERT SYSTEM. Please look out the windows if you are at your place of work.

On a side note - I'm glad when I turned on TV today, they were talking about Micheal Jackson. WHEW!! Something about drugs this time. NOW they are just making stuff up. DRUGS? Micheal Jackson? No way!!

And since I'm at home I had TV on and all of a sudden that niche' sport pops on, Womans Singles Screaming Tennis. What is up with the scream thing. Very unbecoming, screaming should only be in the bedroom or in a movie theater or if a mouse OR spider is involved in some way.

=========================

Couple photos - one is of the Coreopsis garden and because I had so many positive comments on the firetruck another photo of teh fire department.

OK - a dozen things to do today.

Talk to you tomorrow . . .I hope. OH - make sure you scream at me at the Parade - seems I'll be on the PE float WITH my camera. So be good!

Rod

  1. Writing from Colorado: To all my wonderful friends who will be enjoying the screening tonight, HAVE FUN!!!! I will be with you in spirit, and my better half will be with you in person.

    I'm one of those people who does put stock in the critics; I figure for the most part they-- at least the respectable ones-- have made their love of film their life's work, and have an educated viewpoint about the art and craft of film. Of course that doesn't mean I agree with their conclusions. But it does mean that the good critics give me a new viewpoint, something new that they've taught me to see as I watch. Ebert is a favorite, and that NYT review is superb. I'm thankful those guys are pleased. I was so hoping this movie wouldn't be excoriated. But that's just me.

    Anyway-- it bears repeating-- have an unbelievably fantastic time tonight, dear people!

  2. Another great review! Watch out Columbus; great things are coming
    your way!! I can feel it! People will be coming from all over the country (and maybe outside) to see where this movie was filmed. And I
    believe Columbus and Little Bohemia will both be inundated.
    NOW I see why I can't find your article in the State Journal; it was in YESTERDAY'S!! lol
    Wish I could have read it!

  10. Yeh, my mom said she didn't notice alot of Columbus in the film, she must have blinked way to much. I saw it, but you're right, but they're not very long shots. Some of the scenes in cars are Columbus, (Though I doubt you girls will manage to be able to look past Mr. Depp's head to notice. :P)

    Oshkosh was very prominent, what with us being special and all. It was cool last night, everytime Oshkosh came on screen (and ESPECIALLY when our Lions were shown) the entire theater broke into cheers and applause. A person from the theater staff actually came in after one of the screams. Hehe.

  12. Yep, Somebody else was going to say it, anywayz, but the bank job scene, shoot out scene, and like a barely one or two frames of the car leaving. . . and CUT-TO them driving through fields and long gone from any town!

  13. Guys, I Loved the scene with J.Edger Hoover being grilled! It was so real that it serves as the beginning of a lot of excitement to come. Then the bubble-bath scene where the Feds then bust down the door!!! i almost had a heart attack it was sooooo cinematically PERFECT!!! From then on it managed to bring the story to an end while I think bringing J. D. out there in the front as expected!!! His acting throughout is nothing but THE BEST!!!

    Go and see this one, everyone!!! Of course you were all going anywayz!!! See you on the next big job!!! Moviestar/EQ Guy
