Yesterday was the Hurraholiday (I should copywrite that name and make millions). The Last Hurrah of the Holiday season. Now it's back to reality and real winter. There is a glimmer of good news . . .at least for one day. Sunday we MIGHT get all the way up to freezing (with some snow showers) and then we get cold again but not AS bad.
I saw a thing on the news last night about kids getting bored being inside and and stressing parents out - YEA - same with little brown dogs. His skinny legs do not appreciate the cold AT ALL and he is so bored.

New Years Eve we watched the New York Philharmonic tribute Leonard Bernstein. I love love classical music and played cello for a long time . . .. before I had to sell my cello to live and eat.
After that we turned to FOX to see what they were doing and they were trying to appeal to the young crowd with Cue-Tip and Kay Why Jelly but then we switched to the Kathy Griffin-less CNN and what we saw was a reporter in Colorado with a joint in one hand and a bong it the other - - WELL, did not expect to see THAT.
They switched back and there were jokes and every time they switched back to the weed party the reporter's eyes were a little more squinty . . . no glaucoma for you!
BTW - looking into investing into cannabis companies? This are all solid Canadian companies

This whole school thing, you know K-12 (or whatever it is now). I think it's not about learning what they are teaching. But it's like a lottery where you hope ONE teacher of all the teachers you will have in school, is the one that triggers that bit in your brain that will tell you - it's FUN to learn.
All it takes is that one special teacher. I remember my very first home room teacher and the very first hour. I remember her telling us the most important word for our life was "persevere". SOMEHOW I remembered it. I wish I knew her name.
OH - I remember Mrs. Richards a few years earlier. All of us guys did! hubba hubba.

Another thought - Sports. We were watching The Seventies and The Eighties and one thing kept popping up with sports. One extraordinary athlete is all a sports needs to prosper. Basketball had Jordon, golf had Tiger, tennis had John McEnroe. Each one boosted their sports popularity for a decade and then it fades.

In politics - all but 20 Republican seats in the House have Democratic challengers. On the other side, 80 Democratic seats up for reelection do not have a Republican Challenger.
The Blue flood cometh
On the very last day the very last hour - Trump defunded Amtrak infrastructure deal.

Paperless sobriety (oops - society) ? I think not. Consumption for paper has actually grown 50% in the last 30 years.
DUNDER MIFFLIN LIVES!

Remember - vote Jason Theilen (pronounced like the country Thailand without the "D") in the spring election.
