I am very comfortable with the make-up of City Council and am extremely happy with the outcomes of most of the elections. SADLY the Columbus School board dropped the ball in a school referendum (by not having one) as almost all school referendums passed. The only one that failed was in Beloit that lost by 2 votes.
There was referendum in Sun Prairie that in the last count I saw was winning 1075 - 14. I'm not sure what the referendum was but I'm thinking it was about "should we do away with hanging witches" or something and I wonder about those 14 NO votes.
I mention this as my family has a history of witch issues in seems.

My ancestor, Lydia Gilbert
was accused of witchcraft in Hartford
in November of sixteen hundred and fifty-four.
Her son was the Marshall of Hartford.
He arrested and jailed his mother.
Her accusers sat as her jury.
She was convicted and sentenced
to die on the gallows at Albany Street and Vine.
In Hartford the hanging of witchs
was one of the duties of the Marshall.
There is no written proof of her hanging
That page has been torn from the records,
but in January her husband left Hartford, alone
He moved to the village of Nayuag.
In sixteen-sixty he died there
Without ever seeing his son, the Marshall, again.

oddly - and I literally just thought of this - when I worked in Madison at 1 W Wilson there was a couple that were wicken and they loved my moms book and set many of her poems to music.
There are a number of instances in my younger days where my mom had an uncanny ability to see things she could not see. She saw her own death once when her appendix exploded. The light, floating above the curtain and seeing the Doctors and so forth.
The Edmund Fitzgerald where she went to the hospital because she could not stop shivering. They could find nothing wrong and was released only to see a week later a relative went down with the ship at that very time we were taking mom to the hospital.
My brother having his foot caught in a railroad crossing. She and I were doing something and all of a sudden she jumped up and was running down the street to the RR crossing a block away.
Maybe . . . . ??

and the elections - wow - massive blue turnout. Greater then 2016 a Presidential year and much greater then 2014 and 2016. Still unsure about the State Treasurer who really . . . has no real job. This is not a all of a sudden let's dump the Treasurer, this has been an issue for a few decades now.
The State Treasurer really has no real duties to speak of. There is only 1 person in the entire Department. At least that is what I have read.

Assembly Speaker Robin Vos - what a glottal buffoon. So Dane County Circuit Judge Rosann Reynolds declared that the Wisconsin GOP and corrupt Governor Walker, who are intent on GOP democracy suppression, MUST hold elections for open seats that have been open for a year.
Well, as we all know Dane County Circuit Judge Rosann Reynolds was appointed by Walker. YET - Vos is calling her a "activist Dame County Judge". ummmmmm . no idiot! Maybe she is doing her job and has not been paid off yet?
Once Vos's verbal diarrhea ended William Hanrahan the Head Circuit Judge came to Reynolds defense blasting Vos for taking “the low road” and “sullied his own reputation, diminishing any hopes of being taken seriously as a statesman.”

Dennis Alexander is a reserve Police officer in the Sand City California Police Department and he appeared at Seaside High School for a talk about gun safety. During his talk he pointed his gun at the ceiling and the gun discharged. The bullet hit the ceiling and pieces of the ceiling broke off and fell into the group of students injuring three students, one of whom took a bullet fragment to the neck.
Mr. Alexander is a reserve Police Officer mind you, trained as well as possible in gun safety protocols. Yet he hurt three children when he brought a gun into Seaside High School.
Yea - more guns is a great idea.

I see the Trump stock market is doing GREAT today as the trade war begins in earnest. The woman groper says "America has already lost the trade war". I AGREE!!
SADLY - while the market is in free fall a normally efficient free fall net is not available as major corporation can not buy back the 800 billion in stocks they that normally would be able to buy back on dips. There is a share buyback lock up period so they are stuck watching.
Is Trump bragging about how he is killing farmers in Wisconsin? Hogs, ginseng, dairy, motorcycles and 120 other things america sells overseas are now stuck in the US are all of a sudden and NOT going to China.
ANYWAY - WEATHER Gus the Weather Dog was on the low end of being close 3.5 inches fell last night about 12 hours AFTER it was suppose too.
High of 28 on Friday - only 25 degrees below normal. More snow coming Sunday and Monday 2-6 inches followed by a warming trend and 3 days of rain Wednesday into Friday NEXT week. Although long range is not the MOST accurate.
