The PROBLEM is when you watch a movie on your new 4K TV the Video interpolation "fixes" the low frame rate to give you a nice smooth image . . . which is NOT want the director wanted.
The arbitrary love of choppy-looking visuals in cinema.
It seems movies like Saving Private Ryan looks very different on 4K TVs.

SO - My post yesterday got a few responses. We all know during Public Enemies I was contacted by Graham Man to see if I wanted to be a picture car passenger in Columbus (and later Oshkosh) and of course I jumped at it.
WELL - it seems Scott's 1929 Graham-Paige (photo on right) is the same (make model year) car Pope Pius XII used during WWII and Graham Man has tried to contact the Vatican.
There is a photo of the car from 1970 with a photo of the odometer which has 32,000 unaccounted miles.
NOTE - for the people that cannot comprehend what 32,000 miles are I will use the UDE (Universal Distance Equivalent) of the Empire State Building.
If you stacked 135,168 Empire State Buildings on top of each other, that would be the equivalent of 32,000 miles and that is how far the Graham-Paige would have to climb.
It was the main car of the Pope and would have had diplomatic immunity. Every chauffeur keeps a log of where the car goes . . .yet, there are 32,000 miles missing. That is a lot of missing miles for a car that was basically tootling around the Vatican (or 60 round trips to Berlin shall we say?)
The Nazi's would all be on foot blending in escaping Germany . . . unless they had diplomatic immunity. Just sayin'
Of course the Vatican now has more issues.
BOOKS - Hard cover book sales were up 3.5% last year. The problem is that there are not enough printers to print all the books and many titles are being pushed back. Digital sales were down 3% in 2018.
Audio books - not a clue. All I know is that my brother and wife both perform for audio books (perform as opposed to reading aloud) and Ralls performance with the below book is netting a sweet $70 a month CHING! CHING!
American History, USS Indianapolis: The True Story of the Greatest US Naval Disaster: Incredible Secrets of WWII
A young adult book.
Ralls is where I learned about performing in a negative decibel room sound proof room.

Catching up on Star Trek: Discovery and forgot how that is such a great show. Different then The Orville. Star Trek:Discovery is a 12 hour motion picture and The Orville is old school Star Trek with humor and REAL adult themes such as sex with aliens and other water cooler topics . . not unlike the original Star Trek.
If I had to choose - I would choose The Orville - but I don't have too.
Why Everyone LOVE'S The Orville

GOLF - lots of new rules in golf coming from the USGA - some of the ones that will impact your play are.
Legal Search Time - down from 5 minutes to 3 minutes
Dropping - Drop from knee height as opposed to shoulder - no longer will short people have the advantage.
Taking a stance on the wrong green is no longer permitted . . and you should check yourself into the nearest AA meeting
Ball Unintentionally Hits Player - no penalty - HOWEVER - if intentional, still a penalty
Water Hazards are bow called "penalty areas" - USGA us preparing for water wars in the future
All damage to green can now be repaired - including embedded clubs.
Positioning a club for alignment is not permitted. - Taken from the new movie Bird Bath? Bird Brain?
Putting with flag stick in hole is permitted.
Ball wedged against flag stick and side of hole is now deemed IN DA HOLE

Nuff said for today - My search for information on the Columbus Christmas ornaments and who is in charge has come up with, shrugged shoulders. I will continue to harass people in charge to get this elephant moving.
I got trees downtown - now it's ornaments. Maybe I need to team up with Darvin. A good cop bad cop thing.
