Chart watching - Thames in the OF, Bucks and candidates

Before I get into the big news of Eric Thames playing Right Field I thought I would answer a question about the stock market charts.

Looking at stock market charts is like reading tea leaves - you either believe or don't.   Ever since my brother told my parents to buy stock in a funny company called Xerox in 1962 (they didn't) I have been interested in the market and watching cool looking charts and you start to notice trends that happen over and over.  So I'm a believer.

Oddly my parents were also offered a chance to invest and be a player in a new company called Kampgrounds of America (KOA) but they thought that was just a stupid idea.  We were broke most of the time I lived at home and moved a lot. LOL

The markets are just a public opinion poll basically. Humanity is all connected somehow.  When I was a cook at a truck stop for no reason we would get a rush of customers at the oddest times.  Everybody thinking the same separately.  Same with stocks.  People get excited at certain prices and get scared at certain prices.

This is the current Chinese stock market.  You have a bottom support level, the bottom blue line, and you have a secondary support level the middle blue line.  Notice how a few months ago there was a sell off which bounced on that support level. That is a 30% sell off which would be about 8000 points on the NYSE - a panic for sure and I bet chart watchers were REALLY hoping that support level would hold.  It did.

NOW - there is a new ceiling about 390? Once their market hits that area will it bust through and continue up?  Or bounce down.

Charts are just another tool when looking at overall market trends and the economy and the economy is all about public perception and earnings for companies.

ERIC THAMES IN IN THE OUTFIELD - HIDE YOUR CHILDREN

Not as bad as you would think actually.  OH - he is a horrible right fielder.  Slow, no arm and makes errors . . . but typically a Right Fielder makes a vast majority of plays anybody could do.  However for a RF, on average, ONLY every couple games there will be one ball where the skill of a player actually comes into play.

Unlike a Short Stop where more then 1.4 times EVERY game skill is a real factor.  The difference between a good SS like Arias and an average SS can be 50 bases over 162 games.  Does not sound like a big deal but combined with the other 8 fielders it can add up to a bunch of runs.

Don't fear Thames . . but be aware.

Bucks won.  I felt the first game vs. Boston was just a big ass letdown after crushing Detroit 4 games in a row.  When you can sit Giannis 24 minutes a game and still with by 25 are you REALLY getting pumped for the next series?  it's an easy game right?

Well, Boston had other ideas for the Sleepy Bucks.  Probably one of the best things they could do was to blow out the Bucks and wake them up.  Seems to have worked.

So - disregarding Trumps Attorney General who was caught outright lying to Congress and misleading the American public and then Mueller saying "THAT is NOT what the report said".

I have no clue who some of these guys are.

Right now bookies have Trump as the favorite for winning in 2020, and Biden 2nd.  I can't see that unless Hillary runs again and the Bernie groupies want to teach the DNC a lesson.  Thanks!

The books also have Sensa Stark at +200 for sitting on the Iron Throne but John Snow is also a +200 for sitting on the Iron Throne at the end of Season 8.

BTW - there is a prequel in the works it seems.

Virginia is the worst state for driving and playing with your phone and the worst time is 4:00 with 80% of people driving picking up their phone at least once.

It is believed that for the first time in history, in April,  America will have created more energy vie renewable energy then coal.

There is a huge fight in Jefferson as a company wants to put up wind turbines.  Seems local residents want clean renewable energy . . . . but not in their back yard (wind cancer concerns LOL?)

Our Northern Flicker Friend has STILL not found a "lady" friend so he continues to hammer on our metal eaves.

Watched Americas Test Kitchen as the y were testing Basmati rice.  We have always purchased Jasmine rice.  A Laotian friend turned me on to Jasmine many years ago and it is so awesome with its woody aroma.  But it seems Basmati Rice - NOT AMERICAN Basmati rice is even more outstanding.  The recommendation was if you buy Basmati - just make sure it's not grown in America.

OH - liquid smoke. I never knew it was 100% natural.  Actual smoke - not some chemical experiment but smoke that has been condensed  into a liquid.  ACTUAL liquid smoke. So don't be afraid of it.

WHO KNEW - I didn't.

and we saw this last night

Halloween is the one night a year all crime is legal - WHO KNEW!!

And I don't have time to talk about how trees all talk to each other, and feed each other and have wars.   It's the Wood Wide Web and it's actually true.

Anybody want a REALLY nice covered 5x8 trailer?  We're selling ours - only used for art fairs and in great condition.  $1,500 takes it  Cost much more.  We don't really need it or the cost of storing it every month.   I'll get some photos out.

Cheers
