Check this out - the 2020 Brewers elimination game lineup against the Dodgers last year
Garcia CFYelich LF
Gyorko 1B
Healy DH
Arcia SS
Hiura 2B
Taylor RF
Urias 3B
Nottingham C
OUCH - I THINK this years lineup is a little better than last years.
Brewers are -154 favorites today which means 60.8% of the time they should win. The FiveThirtyEight website has the Brewers with a 52% chance of winning.
I'm a homer so I would go near this game with my money.
SO this week - no NHL so it's all NFL
Bridgejumper has 2 games
Cinci +3.5 over Packers
Miami +10.5 (NOT +10 pass)
I'm also following, at least for 1 week, Professor MJ who is 13-2 ATS with his free picks this year - he has
Philadelphia
Cleveland
Buffalo
and these are from some software that is 8-5 so far this year
Detroit +10
Houston +9
Arizona -4.5
Indianapolis +7
he also has Cinci but not an official FREE pick - a virtual pick I guess LOL I have not followed this guy but Elwood turned me onto him from Youtube - I like the guy as he handicaps the linemakers and not the teams like I do.
His results in other sports are unremarkable so . . . . . .
Back to the Brewer game
Charlie Morton the Atlanta Starter has been pitching really well although his ERA is higher the 2nd half but that is because his fielding was worse. His OPS is outstanding for opposing batters.
He's slightly better vs. Left handed batters and is better on the road. Watch out for his pitch count - over 50 and he really goes downhill fast. Below 50 pitches his OPS is .500 above it balloons to about .700
Corbin Burnes
way better vs. Right handed batters with a .477 OPS, better on the road, Both halves of the season were about the same. He goes down hill after his 75th pitch from .450 before to .750 above and he loves pitching in day games while Morton is much worse in day games.
here is an odd anomaly
AmFam field was the WORST ballpark to hit home runs in this year for both teams in MLB . . YET the most doubles. What changed to make ball fly 2 feet shorter. AmFam was the 3rd most in runs in MLB.
Side note - Milwaukee, the smallest market in MLB was 10th in attendance
Both bullpens are pretty good with Atlanta MAYBE a little better.
