Brain Dead - out!

Forgot to mention yesterday - someone asked where we lived in Madison. Anniversary Lane which butted up against the Nature preserve.
==================
34 years ago today (wow) President Nixon resigned as our President. I remember where I was when that happened. I was putting the bottom (cambrick???) of a sofa on at a furniture factory when it was announced. It was the late shift.

20 years ago today the lights went on at Wrigley field for the first time. The first ever night game was played in Des Moines on May 2nd 1930.
====================
As you can see I'm not feeling it today wordy wise. I'll probably not blog on weekends as it is just too much pressure to come up with meaningful words. Monday taking off EARLY 5ish for 18 holes in the morning and then the Brewer game in the afternoon - to bad I can't get to the Monday night Packer game Monday night!
======================
Olympics start tonight and DJ and I actually look forward to it. More the Winter Olympics but the Opening Ceremonies are always fun to watch. We always seem to have to record them though. Four years ago we were in Door County and this year a super party deal. But - we're excited.
================

Brain dead.

Cheers

Out

  2. Rod, I heard the opening ceremony tickets for the Olympics run about 50 grand!! Yikes!

    No Kurth for me on Fridays--work, work, work!

    I've had a brain dead week so don't feel bad. I'm still not okay over the events of my life this week. I would like to sleep for a week, and then just open an eye to see if it's safe to get up yet. If not, another week of hibernation....

    :p

  3. Oh, my, Rod. Hope you're feeling well. This is just not your usual
    informative stuff!! But we'll let you get away with it; ONCE!
    A friend taped the Olympics opening ceremonies off a Canadian station (she lives in Washington state) and said they are SPECTACULAR!! Future Olympic hosts will find it difficult to do better!
    No Kurth's for me (again) tonight. I'm invited to a BIG party tomorrow evening (a La Quiceanera?)
    and just can't handle two nights of partying in a row any more!
    Hopefully soon though!

  9. When our son, Kevan, was born in January of 1988,, I watched alot of the Olympics while I nursed him late at night. I think it saved me from the effects of no sleep! the opeinng ceremony last night was spectacular. It is an amazing event and so moving to see all those countries together, cooperating and having fun.
    I was shocked to see the news about Bernie Mac! Too young!!!!
