  4. Rod,

Let me know what you think of Sharepoint. We are thinking about getting it where I work.

    ;)

  9. Is this one of those classes where they stretch 3 hours of content into 8?

  10. The kind where the instructor reads out of a book.

  11. Nice!!!

Make sure you ask LOTS fo questions!

BTW have you tried Chrome yet?

  12. I just figured out who the instructer sounds like - it's been bugging me all morning -

JIM CANTORI!! from the weather channel.

  13. LHL,

Read the EULA on that Chrome browser. It's a little scary....

  14. Grinder -
It's Google's new browser. Some nice features.

    Suz -
What in particular scared you? Looked like most EULA's to me.

  15. I didn't realize the people on the Weather Channel had names!

  16. "...particularly the part about the EULA which says, even though you retain copyright, we retain the right to do anything we want with content you post using this browser and to distribute it to third parties. So that would mean, I guess, your email, your blog posts. That's a little scary. "

From these guys who talk about new stuff on the web: http://www.grc.com/sn/sn-160.htm

The problem is that Google collects information when you use the Google toolbar, gmail, or now...Chrome. I get spam directly related to sites I visit in my gmail account. It's just kind of like Big Brother on the net when you deal with Google.

And the difference with this EULA is that it goes beyond the normal EULA in their rights to anything you post or send using that browser. Kinda makes me want to get rid of my gmail, actually....

They give your information to third parties you don't necessarily want to have your information.

  17. Anytime you use Google they keep what you did!

Every page address you have ever looked at is stored on your computer in a setret file and only the Feds know how to get at it.

    BIG BROTHER on the net.

  18. And don't even ask DJ about Mr. Bunny!! LOL

    ReplyDelete
  19. That part of the EULA has already been changed,

    Now reads:
11.1 You retain copyright and any other rights you already hold in Content which you submit, post or display on or through, the Services.
