Saturday we went to Firemans Park to wonder the Mr.Eds Magical Midway and maybe check out The New Invaders! I mentioned this during the Art Fair to another artist that this was the quintessential Norman Rockwellish small town America experience.
The New Invasion
With Jesse Walker yodeling in the background, carnival sounds and Bubba and his black pick-up with sexy girl cutouts on the windows and big tailpipes (chicks love those things I guess) driving around it was small town America at it's finest.
Bill who is one of the head dudes at Mr. Ed's recognized me and yelled HEY ROD! from his seat running the Tilt-o-Whirl - like I could remember HIS name after a year?
A few Carnival shots
And I STILL did not get to try a Deep Fried Twinkie!!!

Saturday I had the Columbus Art Fair and it was a success. More then I anticipated actually. The odd thing is that what sold in Sun Prairie was not really even noticed in Columbus (Flowers) but what sold in Columbus was a lot of Madison images which were passed over in Sun Prairie!
Lots of complements again but the biggest boost to the ego is having someone still in high school complimenting and buying prints. Seems to be an unexpected trend. I need more vampire photos!
Of course the Carnies came over sucked up my merry-go-round photo in the first hour! Left a big hole that I had to fill.
In fact every large image that sold did not have a back up to it. Lots of backs up for the OTHER images that sold LAST Art Fair. My logistic planning is taking a hit!

OH - the big answer I know all of your TV watchers are wanting to know. My take of the break-up of Jake and Vienna from the Bachelor? Jake is a pompous condescending ass! Case Closed!

Back Yard tours are available but call ahead!
Not bad for a yard of mud 4 years ago!
This is the butterfly garden looking west - There was a Monarch on one of the flowers yesterday - no photos of that guy.
So I was working on a photo last night and it just ain't happening. It was frustrating as I would get close and sit back, look at it and . . .blah!!! delete delete - - start over. I started over 4 times!! Still nothing!
I never did get it - so I figured I wanted SOME sort of pretty flower photo for the blog and so I did a quick and dirty tlittle thing - sort of a - ahhh f*ck it job to just toss it out there and be done with the blog.
SURE - I like this low resolution photo - not I have to try to recreate it!
Have a nice Mon . . .Tuesday
Rod
