Live Music is finding a way

DJ's favorite band is Glass Animals who have had a rough couple years.  They are an up and coming  "Psychedelic, pop art, pop trip hop, indie electronic" band.  You have probably heard at least ONE song but did not know it was them.  They were about to go on their first world tour 2 years ago but a band member broke a leg so they canceled the tour for the next year . . . .which would have been THIS year.

We all know what happened to live music in 2020 right?  So they decided to have a live concert on the internet.  Actually 4 live concerts in different time zones.  DJ purchased a ticket and it was outstanding and you could watch the show for 48 hours after.  Brilliant!

WELL - now this morning I see MY favorite band Nightwish the #1 "Symphonic metal, power metal, folk metal, gothic metal" band in the world is having an Evening with Nightwish in March.  This is a band that is on my bucket list concerts.  OMG - I'm a fan boy!  LOL

This is their opening song at Wembley - Typically the opening at a concert is a lesser song and the show ramps up for the next couple hours -  WELL  DJ and I watched this concert and while she was not a real fan she had never seen them in concert.  She was STUNNED!

My brothers son does lighting and special effects for bands and he watched the "The Greatest Show On Earth" concert and was stunned at the energy.

Check this out, the slow opening that prepares you for the real show!  I think this is one of their short songs.

SO - March 13th is taken.

OH - I asked on Facebook what venue in the world is the most prestigious to play in.  So far the winner is Wembley Arena in London.  Wacken Open Air in Germany is the #2 mention.  Red Rocks is up there.

Red Rocks with Denver in the background - Brit Floyd Concert

And speaking of concerts - we watched one song from a David Gilmore (Pink Floyd) concert and all of a sudden Crosby and Nash were on stage with Gilmore.  We had chills.  Had to buy that video.  BUT WAIT - A Led Zeppelin Concert with Jason Bonham, John Bonham's son on drums - it was AMAZING!  We had to buy that concert video also!

Music is awesome.

So the question is - if you had to lose eyesight or hearing - which would you choose.  We both chose lose the eyesight!  We could not live without music.

Why do you need eyesight when you can make a dinner like this  LOL  Chicken mash potatoes and white milk  - we both laughed and added some color after the photo!

Watch out for Next Wednesday - Gus the Weather Dog (on facebook - more followers then I have)  will have more info coming but another LOW is which is yet to develop is heading our way. Is that not AMAZING?  something that has not even formed yet and is thousands of miles away when it does can be forecasted to hit Wisconsin.

Baseball gameplay is a rising source of consternation for fans, players and the league itself, with rising strikeouts making games more pitched defensive battles (read: not a lot of fun hits!) than the more rambunctious days of years gone by. Pitching has gotten significantly better — the average fastball was 93 miles per hour last season, up from 89 mph in 2002 — and the strike zone is about 10 percent larger. The strikeout rate soared from around 15 percent in the early 1990s to just shy of 25 percent as of last season, but the walk rate has remained stable for decades: in 50 years, the average walk rate has been 8.6 percent, and in the last 10 seasons, it was 8.2 percent. This set of facts leads to a relatively simple proposal: if you want fewer strikeouts and more hits, shrink the strike zone.

have a great day
