I mentioned last time the Columbus dump nobody knew about and how they want to build houses on it now  - here is a shot of it from 16 years ago.  When I contacted the city they did not really care to hear about it -not their problem.  This was 16 years ago before it became Enerpac hill and buried it all underneath and in front the hill.  

This next part is Information only - not passing judgement . you are on your own journey. 

Columbus is using AI to track your movements from AI-powered cameras that capture and analyze images of all passing vehicles, storing details like your car's location, date, and time.

They also capture your car's make, model, color, and identifying features such as dents, roof racks, and
bumper stickers, often turning these into searchable data points.  

10+ years ago Columbus squad cars had these in all their cars and would watch you as you drove by but now every time someone drives into Columbus you are tracked, cataloged and put into a database. 

These cameras collect data on millions of vehicles regardless of whether the driver is suspected of a crime or not.

I just thought I would inform people what THESE new little cameras were doing.  If you don't mind big brother always watching your coming and goings you are fine. But seriously, it's not Big Brother I worry about, it's the millions of Little Brothers. NOT THAT I'M ACTUALLY WORRIED!   I'm sure the excuse will be "just being proactive" as it always is.  My ass! 

HOWEVER - on the other side of the coin - Nancy Guthrie's killer would probably be in jail by now if their AI cameras would have been functioning - so there is that.

CHEM TRAILS?  Seriously?  COME ON - did you miss that decade of education? 

Being retired and not wanting to just sit in the dark all day doing nothing (as when I was young I assumed retired people did all day) we tend to sit on the deck with a beer on nice days and with an app we try to guess where the planes are coming from and going too as they fly over Columbus. Normally West coast to NYC.  We're getting good-ish on the west to east flights but - the BIG ones are North to South and vice versa that fly RIGHT OVER Columbus . . . and THEN there was this one that I posted on Wisconsin in Pictures.

Singapore to JFK at 44,000 feet taken with an iPhone 17Pro.  

One comment was "Any given blue sky day these f*ckers flying around spreading those chem trails.. believe it or not I counted 8 yesterday in manitowoc county!! Please tell me whats so important that they have all the money for fuel to fly back and forth making trails? Killing us slowly. " 

Another one I need to stop following this group as stupid Fu*** continue to post pics of chem trails and talk about how beautiful the sky is. Open your frickin eyes.

I had to respond  “Those lines behind airplanes are contrails, not ‘chemtrails.’ They form when hot jet exhaust hits cold, humid air and instantly creates ice crystals—basically man‑made cirrus clouds. Their appearance changes with temperature and humidity, not because anything is being sprayed. There’s no evidence of any chemical‑spraying program; it’s just normal physics and atmospheric science.”

FUN FACT - the first documented appearance of Chemtrails was in the cover of a 1990 Air Force Academy introductory chemistry textbook titled Chemistry 131. It had nothing to do with spraying, conspiracies, or aircraft — it was literally just a pun combining “chemistry” and “trails” for a course title.

HOWEVER -  Richard Finke and William Thomas pushed the idea in Art Bell’s ( a  paranormal-themed radio program ) late‑night radio show amplified it starting in 1999.

ANYWAY - If you see a large jet flying N to S it's probably from Asia and ALWAYS landing in Dallas.  

We did see a HUGE plane fly over a few weeks ago, an Antonov An‑124 “Ruslan.  The largest

Russian‑built cargo aircraft currently flying for Ukraine. The An‑225 Mriya was the absolute largest built but Russia destroyed it in the early part of the war.  The one we saw had no departure and unknow destination. SECRET!

Clever Hans the Horse and a True Story

In the late 1800's Wilhelm Von Osten was riding his horse and mulling over scientific stuff in his brain. He was into phrenology  the now discredited theory that a persons intelligence, character, and personality can be derived based of the shape of his or her head.

But he had other thoughts. He was interested in animals and how smart they were. He started testing cats, a bear and his horse in the skills of numbers. The cat did not care (surprise) the bear just got angry but the horse was different.

Wilhelm taught the horse to tap his hoof 3 times when he wrote the number 3 on a black board. In fact the horse could go all the way to 10 and repeat this many many times.

Then he started doing simple addition and subtraction and after a while the horse was able to give the correct answer. In fact it got to a point where his horse could do fractions and basic square roots.

He started showing the horse off and the horse kept learning more and more. "If the first day of the month is a Wednesday," Von Osten would ask Hans, who had learned to respond to verbal questions, "what is the date of the following Monday?" Six hoof-taps would follow.

"What is the square root of sixteen" 4 taps would follow. Hans even learned the alphabet, 1 tap for A, 2 taps for B and so forth. He made mistakes but was 89% right.

The New York Times had an article about Hans and scientists from around the world flocked to test Hans. They tested with and without Wilhelm in the room.

Following extensive testing which finished in 1904 it was concluded that there was no trickery, Hans was for real.

Then they noticed something, when Wilhelm asked a question and was far away Hans had problems, and when Wilhelm was behind a curtain Hans rate went to 0%.

So instead of watching Hans they started watching Wilhelm or whoever was asking the question.

IT SEEMS that Hans could tell stress levels and would tap his foot until he noticed that the stress had passed. Even when the questioner KNEW this was what Hans was watching and would try to trick Hans. Hans was perfect. This proved that while Hans was not the math genius we thought, he was pretty smart in ways we could not see. He could tell exactly when stress left a human through body language that no one else could see. Hans was smart in other ways.

Hans and Wilhelm continued to tour Europe and lived a happy life.

Hans would have been a GREAT poker player.

Couple things need to be clarified about The Columbus Police and the 200ish pullovers - this was a combined city/County effort and they did this in a few cities not just Columbus. Pull'm over look for drugs and let them go.  At the time the CPD refused to give City Council any real data on this so the actual number is  ????  . 

This was also the time when the police had the demerit point system for bars and they were the accuser, judge AND jury for closing a bar and it was also when they gave out MANY Easter Day tickets because of Winter Parking rules (we changed the rules after that) and it was over 50 degrees outside.  

They are fine now in my book - this was a decade ago.

First off - From Wisconsin Road Trips page.  SADLY #9 Mullins Short Stop was posted on a Wisconsin page with the WRONG city name. 

Up in Cumberland at 1398 2nd Avenue, (in the REAL world it would say Up dare in Columbus at 641 N Ludington St) Mullins Short Stop Drive In represents everything great about small-town Wisconsin dining. This isn’t a place trying to be hip or trendy, it’s a straightforward, honest drive-in that’s been serving the community with pride and consistency for years.

The building looks like it could have been here since the golden age of drive-ins, with that classic architecture and signage that immediately tells you what kind of experience you’re about to have.

The burgers at Mullins are hefty and satisfying, made with quality beef that gets cooked just right every single time. They don’t skimp on the patties, giving you substantial portions that actually fill you up instead of leaving you hungry an hour later.

It's that time of decade again when I remind everyone that the Columbus Utilities Water Tower has the best ground cover EVER and its free for your pickings.

Ten years ago when I was a Columbus Water and Light Commissioner I decided the hideous looking  water tower needed beautification. There were beer cans, cig butts Frito packages and garbage and a lot of weeds. Nobody was taking care of it. 

 WELL - it seemed that after the 20 volunteers I rounded up to paint the inside of the Amtrak Station it was time for this monstrosity to be fixed. 

I asked Erik the Commissioner at the time if he could supply a friend and I two cubic yards of dirt we would fix it up. 

I was a HOT HOT day when we started in the morning.  First clearing out the junk.  My noon we were at this point.    

Erik delivered a backhoe of dirt - not good dirt - this ground cover does not like GOOD dirt, and we started filling all he crevices.  SO SO many crevasses - more then we anticipated. 

Then over the next few weeks we harvested sprigs from my house and repurposed them to the tower.  

Here is how to do it.

Put your hand into the sedum and pick a sprig at the base  

Then the easy part.  Put a scratch in your dirt 

Lay the sedum in it

And cover 

That's it. You CAN water it but its not needed. We have NEVER watered the tower.  It will not allow weeds to grow. We have it in shade as well as full 100% sunlight. 

We have NEVER weeded it, watered it and have basically ignored it for 10+ years.  Someone (Columbus Utilities? the City?) used to kill the weeds on top and below but never in the rocks.  

And seriously - each crevice had ONE sprig, it grows and fills out but it's very shallow and if you HAVE too - just pick it and discard. ZERO problems.

What is wrong with the National media - Trump has lost a war faster then ANY President in history and they ignore it.

The question has been brought up  SO! who can cancel or postpone a national election? here ya go 

Congress sets the date for federal elections

Changing that date requires: A bill passed by the House - simple majority A bill passed by the Senate - simple majority The President’s signature NOTE - I firmly believe there are enough adults on Congress to foil any MAGA attempt.

Even then, Congress cannot delay elections indefinitely because the Constitution fixes the end of terms. Presidential term ends January 20 and Congressional terms end January 3

The President -Has zero legal authority to cancel, postpone, or suspend a federal election and emergency powers do not include altering election dates

The Supreme Court, can rule on disputes, but cannot cancel or postpone elections.

State Governors or Legislatures can delay state or local elections in emergencies. HOWEVER they cannot cancel or indefinitely postpone the selection of presidential electors.

Martial law does not give power to stop a presidential election. Even during the Civil War and WWII, elections happened on schedule

Canceling a national election is basically impossible because the Constitution locks in the end of presidential and congressional terms. If no election were held, the President’s term still ends on January 20.

Columbus Police Department

I won't get into my dealings between the former Chief of Police and I when I was an alderman.  OK - just a wee bit. While in his office he was reading my blog (which is fine) on City time (not fine) and he posted shit about me as a alderperson to all that would listen including the Fire and Police Commission. And yea - he was forced to give a public apology to me.

WHY? because when a department literally pulls over 200+ vehicles in 3+ hours  (some multiple times) right in the middle of downtown for no real reason it REALLY REALLY gives Columbus a bad bad look. And I said ENOUGH!!!  and voiced my opinion.    

 I am fine now with the newest iteration of the Columbus Police and they have helped me a few times getting $$ back from Bitcoin being stolen from Coinbase.  The last chief and I had issues.  My laptop (and 10 other citizens) were LITERALLY stolen by a Columbus computer company and the police department refused to do ANYTHING - "out of our jurisdiction" was the explanation.  The company moved to a different town a year later with our computers and he ended up in jail in another town..     

BUT - they are fine in my book now! Chief Dennis Weiner seems to be a good one. HOWEVER since Columbus seems to be the center of white collar crime in the tri county area - this iswhat happened a few doors down from my house.

MISAPPROPRATION INVESTIGATION LEADS TO SEARCH WARRANT, ARREST

NOTE - the real name will be "XXXXXXX" just because I won't be the one spreading hate. 

In December 2025 the Columbus Police Department was contacted by members of the Columbus Baseball Organization (CBO). CBO board members reported financial irregularities and a possible misappropriation of funds by the former Treasurer, whose term had recently ended. He had been the treasurer from 2021-2025.

An initial review confirmed misappropriated monies and a formal comprehensive investigation began. During the last 5 months the department wrote numerous subpoenas for financial records, business records, purchases, etc. A substantial amount of paper and digital records were reviewed during the course of this investigation.

On Wednesday May 13, 2026 the Columbus Police Department executed a search warrant at a residence on Vista Circle in the City of Columbus.  XXXXXXX 50, of Columbus was arrested. Over 60 items from the residence were seized as part of the search warrant.

This afternoon, XXXXXX was charged with in Columbia County Circuit Court with Theft in a Business Setting, $10,000-$100,000 and Theft-Movable Property, $2500-$5000. Both are felonies.

The investigation revealed CBO monies being misappropriated multiple ways. They include, but are not limited to, a significant amount of Amazon purchases for personal use. A number of CBO checks were written to an LLC (limited liability corporation) that is registered to XXXXXX. They were deposited in the LLC’s account, then transferred to a personal bank account(s) belonging to XXXXXX. Additionally, CBO monies were identified going to 2 other, non-CBO baseball teams that he had an affiliation with.

The total amount at this time is approximately $49,000. The investigation continues.

Fun blog coming nest week for landscapers 

The assumed problem with the new Columbus TIF - information ONLY! And Mink River

Hi all - I'm TRYING to put out a blog once a week now on Mondays or Tuesdays but a trip to Door County to the cabin nixed that idea this last week.  Door County called. 

One thing I learned from the the owners of Mink River an amazing bar in Ellison Bay was I might have helped bring people to the bar. You see I mentioned their AMAZING burger (literally the best I have ever had) on Madison Foodie and the bar has been getting lots of new tourists/customers since. And Cory blamed ME!!  Then I guess there was a secret contest and Mink River in Ellison Bay won the BEST BURGER in Door County. 

SO Monday we tried their Smash Burgers - WOW 

Literally one of the most amazing flavored? burgers I’ve ever had. #MinkRiver was voted the best burger in Door County. This the Drew Smash burger with Cajun seasoning, pepper Jack cheese, caramelized onions, jalapeños and garlic aloai is INSANELY good. OMG

If you get to Northern Door - you MUST go to Mink River a "dive bar" (are there any actual dive bars around?) with a real chef - a hidden gem with a game room and outdoor patio for dogs we talked to Tony Shaloub and family last year as they were eating on the patio. DJ had a good conversation with his sister about their dogs.

DJ had the Mink Mac Smash Burger - like a Big Mac but for ADULTS - she thought it was fantastic!!!

A few years ago I was asked to take a glamor photo of Club Le Mark, a square gray wooden building and also the inside of the CC Rider Clubhouse - no photos of the outside and NO photos of The Wall.  Now I need one of The Mink - it's coming.  This one is from Terry Hickman so you can all find the place.

This is a “get it off my chest (2)” post. Informational only not complaining (do I ever complain)?

OH One thing - I LOVE this little town. The people are friendly, it's quiet, there is not REAL violence - OH we're the center of white collar crime it seems (Midwest Horse Fair, a church lady, the Travel Center and now a baseball organization).  But every alderperson loves this town - it's a lot of work being an alderperson.  I KNOW.  BUT - always remember - these are not politicians - they are normal people like you and I trying to do the best they can trying to compromise what is good for the city and good for the residents. 

ANYWAY! 
                                      The new TIF

We all know this has been planned for 20 or more years so it’s not a surprise, in fact many home owners are welcoming new housing on section 17.  The reason we want houses is that those houses will help absorb the large seismic shaking from the large explosions that Westphal Quarry lights off without a REAL warning every month. 

We have small cracked foundations, albums on turntables skip and small cracks in drywall from the 8-10 explosion that are 550 yards away from my house. The new houses will be in the 350 yards area so they will slow down the land shaking by 200 yards.

Plus, since the quarry starts grinding at 5:30-6:00 in the morning maybe the new housing will absorb some of the VERY LOUD grinding that forces our windows to be closed on summer mornings.

How close can you build a house to a working quarry.  And since realtors never tell ANYBODY on Vista that there is working quarry 500 yards away . . . I’m sure new home owners will be surprised also.  I won't speak of the dust we collect inside the house.   

NEXT issue The Enerpac hill.

Before Enerpac there was a deep/ old quarry crevice about 20 feet deep full of old TVs, refrigerators and garbage that people dumped into it.  If you walk around, you can still see pieces of appliances and TVs. This was all covered up by dirt that was dumped from the Enerpac hole and is now a 30 foot high 250 yard hill.  Enerpac Hill.  I had mentioned this a few times before I was on council but since it was not in city limits nobody cared it was an uncontrolled dump for appliances. 

The ISSUE is rain

The hill has created some pretty heavy flooding onto hole #11 at Kestrel Ridge that was not there before the hill.  What used to be a 3 inch stream next to the course on heavy storms is now literally a 2 feet high torrent rushing water that floods the entire fairway of hole #11.

As you can see rain flows down the normal slant of land from the west hits the torrent of water falling from Enerpac Hill and shoves it onto the golf course, LITERALLY making a waterfall over that sand trap (now new grass as if  . . . . now).

NOW! – if you add cement from a presumed road next to the hill and more housing it’s going to be VERY wet at times.  I HOPE there are plans for a major re-direction of all that water or those houses will be on a flood plain.   Unintended consequence.

I didn't want to start with a whine but needed a catalyst it seems. 

WHERE IT STARTED

When the movie Public Enemies and Universal decided to film a good bit of their movie in Columbus I started this blog as the local newspaper only came out once a week. It was all Public Enemies and locations and information and photos.  I was even invited to Oshkosh as an extra because of the blog.  After the movie came out I was contacted by Universal and the asst Director thanking me for the entertainment and they said BECAUSE of me they had to put out false locations for shooting.

FUN FACT - In Oshkosh I went into a restaurant and a whole table of woman screamed when I walked in  IT'S THE BLOGGER!! and I got a free meal, BUT I digress with memories.

Once the movie (and international attention) was over  I switched to my thoughts about the city government and calling them out for their incompetence which accidently got me voted into being an alderman much to my dismay. It seems citizens of Columbus agree with my random words.   

All was well as the government FOR THE MOST PART got much better. OH - there are a few unforced errors lately but it was fine UNTIL Columbus Utilities and their manager Dalton Hiley decided  to gaslight me (not my words but from a nearby business that agrees with me)  and 8 other houses on our circle. 

You see Columbus Utilities erected a spot light at the southern sub station that shines into our house and creates shadows on our walls at night.  Every night when I get up to pee THERE IT IS SHINING ON MY ASS creating a shadow on the walls inside my own house

OH - I but was told there is no such light. 

BACK STORY - I contacted the very nice business manager at the Columbus office that I knew very well as I was good friends of the previous head person of Columbus Water and Light and she completely agreed with my problem and she said they would look into it.

They did move the light down which LOOKS like it would have worked  (see photo) BUT - it did not. The LED spotlight has SO SO much flair we did not even notice one bit that it was lowered.   As you see you would THINK this would alleviate the issue but the light is SO inefficient it did basically nothing 
 

 Here is what it looks like at night - it peaks JUST over Enerpac hill right into our house. 

 The reason for the light I was told was they NEEDED the light was "security" but then that was changed to the workers need lights to work on the stuff at night. It's about 250 yards away and shines on 8 houses at 3 LUX (2 LUX over the limit on the city ordinance) 

I contacted Columbus Utilities and the very nice manager said I would have to contact Dalton Hiley who literally said in an email " I understand your concern and annoyance with the new security lights but I ensure you it is for the greater good."  "THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME".

WTF?

Who else says that constantly on X.  Does that sound at all familiar with Iran speak? Gas prices are high but do you want to be nuked? Live with it?  THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME is cold, dismissive, and final.  It shuts down a conversation.  Is this a play book that is being used?   I expected a LITTEL more from the Columbus Utility Manager. 

" As for now the light will remain in service, I will look into potential areas the light can be relocated. Feel free to reach out with any on going concerns." 

BUT WAIT - it gets WAY worse. 

I made references to city ordinances Sec. 114-127. - Lighting  All outdoor lighting including that used to illuminate off-street parking areas shall be shielded or otherwise optically controlled so as to provide glareless illumination in such a manner as not to create a nuisance on adjacent property.  It's right there in writing. 

Totally 100% IGNORED!  The spotlight was not there when we moved here - if it was we certainly would not have built our house on that spot. 

THEN 

"Visual inspection of the property between 300 Vista Circle and the substation visible found no light on the fairway or on Curt Hanson’s land." 

 Yea - tell that to the houses on VISTA - I seem to see the spot light everywhere!




The fairway is much lower then my house and is near Enerpac Hill so OF COURSE they saw no light - maybe try closer to the actual house? 

So I contacted the Mayor and 6 alder people of which only ONE actually responded (thank you Ryan).  I sent photos to all concerned - this one is just before the devil light goes off 

 
And one from our deck where I USED to take astrophotography of stars which I no longer can enjoy. 

We loved sitting on our screen in porch at night but NOW - we have a spotlight killing our nice calming view (look's MUCH worse but the camera is not my friend on this one).

But what REALLY riles me is they REALLY do not care at all about the citizens of Columbus. We pay some pretty large property tax but they don't care.  OH they "understand your concern"  DO THEY?  

I have the UTMOST respect for the underpaid workers of CU - I was on the Water and Light Commission for 5 years and they do a FANTASTIC job for Columbus but management just does not care it seems.  It's really a sad development.

SO - my BIG complaint about people who complains is . . .  IF you have a complaint - how about a way to fix it.  WELL - It would be FREAKING EASY!!! 



1. Shine the Devil light straight down - there is so much light leakage from this inefficient LED  ( who's idea was this light?)  that it would still light up the main area. AND it would still offer security.   How hard is that - are they not electricians?   

2. Move the entire light down 2 feet so it does not shine OVER Enerpac hill AND it would still offer security-  How hard is that - are they not electricians?

If they had a valid reason for not fixing the light I would have zero issues but so far its been vague excuses.

SO - that is my spiel - I will end up being irritated every night for the rest of my life I fear.  Maybe I'll sneak up the hill and plant a pine tree. Or maybe erect a 2 foot fence.

Soccer for clueless Americans , The Oaks makes good,

 I'm always a little surprised when I look to see who in their right mind reads this meaningless blog about a little town in Wisconsin.  This is from the last 3 days

Had an issue while golfing at The Oaks Wednesday night in league. The ranger REALLY pissed off our foursome and sort of ruined our rounds. I have been beat up a few times because I will not back down to bullies - dealt with that all the way through school and I WON'T TAKE IT ANYMORE.  

Well - I gave the owner of The Oaks/Kestrel Ridge an earfull with a few obscenities and they agreed with our complaint.  It's all good now but have you ever tried golfing when you are LIVID and want to beat up somebody?  LOL  ( drives went far). 

It's all been ironed out.  It had to do with 1 person in carts. There are 4 or 5 of us with bad knees or just old. We don't know who will be in our foursome from week to week so we can't really plan on WHO to share carts with.  WELL we were SCREAMED at for only have 1 player in a cart and what REALLY ticked me off was when I asked how to fix the GPS and the ranger said I DON'T CARE!   

AGAIN - it's all good now - maybe HE was having a bad day and wanted to share!  The owners of the Oaks and Kestrel Ridge are doing a MAGNIFICANT job on both course  truly.

The old owner of Kestrel was a slum lord who did nothing.  Now Kestrel is getting a VERY good reputation.   

BTW - Kestrel Ridge has a GREAT Patty Melt and really good cod with outside seating and music on Friday nights!!

We watched Ted Lasso and then watched Season 1 of Return to Wrexham.  I was NEVER a soccer fan - ZIP ZERO - but after watching these two shows I see it's NOT just 20 people chasing a ball - there is actually strategy for every position and every zone on the pitch (field).  It's more like chess actually.

BTW - "SOCCER" is NOT an American word - it's an English word for Association Football!! 

In the 1880s there was  Rugby Football (rugby) and Association Football (called Assoccer, which was shortened to soccer ) But when Rugby dropped "football" Assoccer became just "Football".  But when America combined rugby and assoccer they called it "football" and now Assoccer became soccer.

 OH YEA - still kicking - still complaining AGAIN about Columbus politics. But where have I been?  

The highlight of . . . . the last 3 days

LOL The city attorney ( who I have always appreciated) mentioned me in City Council last night with a disclaimer “Like him or not Rod Melotte ……”. I love that man!

Other Highlights - I cleaned up the house of all my shoes on the floor and tossed them on my "office" floor.  Then when looking for a donation I saw this framed glass image and thought THAT WOULD BE FUN - the "right" side would have a fit and the other side would be angry and also have a fit Columbus politics at it's best! 

So - I stepped over the shoes and with an evil cackle stepped backwards to get a better few.

My left foot stepped on a shoe and as I was losing my balance my other foot stepped on another shoe and in very slow motion I was now falling backwards.  My brain was going through what my head was going to hit. . the printer? the side of my desk  NOOOOOO!! 

RIGHT THERE (arroe) with the back of my head - BAM!!    STARS - BUZZING - DIZZY  RINGING - zero pain.  I'm on the floor my eyes are rattling around and the only thing I hear is a LOUD ringing. 

Trip to the ER - get a brain scan and they kept saying "WE SEE NOTHING".  The story of my life. 

I ask if the VERY loud ringing will go away - they say if it's there in a few weeks see a doctor.  I did - Doctor LITERALLY made it worse and hurt my ear looking in there. SO - I have an appointment with ENT - IN FREAKING JANUARY!   

Meanwhile I have Tinnitus which I can hear ALWAYS  I can stand next to I90 at the Oaks  ringing loud and clear.  sigh!!  

Let's see what else - I had crypto coins stolen TWICE from Coinbase - got the money back with help from the Columbus Police and dumped bitcoin.  One cool thing - I put coin in BETUS a sports book and got a 150% bonus when Crypto was at $56,000 just before it crashed   Winner winner

hmmmm - OH  purchased 7.5 acres of boreal forest in Door County - something like this 

House going up as I type - not moving - a legacy house cabin for vacations and future generations.  We are on the 3rd squiggle on the left 

This is the entrance as of a few weeks ago - cabin comes in 4 pieces and a crane will have to get in there

 ODDLY - a very good friend from High School will be a neighbor. And even MORE oddly at the end of this access road was a old fire pit and a old picnic table. I was talking to a golf league friend (who has a lifetime membership at Hawks Landing :-) )  and he said "Oh we used to camp just a short ways from the ferry 20 years ago".

WHERE Exactly?  "oh we would remove a old chain and walk back on the road and camp" was there a old firepit?  "yes" maybe a picnic table?  "yes how did you know   O M G!!!  We bought that land!!  

hmmmmmm - what else 

OH - I am OBSESSED with pro soccer/football!  seriously I bet I have watched 20 soccer matches in the last 2 months.  LOVE LOVE the sport!! Once you understand it, the rules, the positions the strategy - it's not just 20 players running around with no clue. 

OBSESSED!! 

Don't get me started on Columbus Politics - you should see this letter I typed up - WOW!  I was PISSED OFF!! I still have it.  Worked on it for weeks.  I cannot remember ever being so pissed off. 

  OK - I'll be back - this was fun - maybe I can roast Columbus politics again.  I do know a good number of people that will run next year for Council this group has pissed off so many people.  

Did I mention I lost 25 pounds in the last year?  ON PURPOSE!!
